Going back to the dickhead with the Porsche who flipped out at me after mistakenly believing I was running up on him in an attempt to jump him, I will say once again that I am incredibly sympathetic towards veterans (or any people for that matter) with PTSD. What I have a real problem with is when people with PTSD opt to not get help for it, and then use it as an excuse to treat people like shit. In addition to the guy with the Porsche who I encountered in the Acme parking lot last March, another perfect example would be this guy who used to work for my mechanic. He was a former Marine who had seen combat in either Afghanistan or Iraq (I forget), and he had PTSD. One time in 2021, he absolutely flipped out at me for appoaching him in the garage to ask him a question. If I remember correctly, he hadn't been vaccinated yet and was incredibly paranoid about getting COVID. That's all well and good, but he didn't have to be an asshole; I complained to my mechanic about his behavior. My mechanic was good friends with this guy, but attended up getting let go because I apparently was not the first customer he had a verbal altercation with.

My dumpster fire of an ex-girlfriend was not a veteran, but she had PTSD from prior traumatic experiences that I am not at liberty to discuss publicly, and she did not seek the proper help for this issue. As a result, she let her anger and pain bottle up inside until it exploded out in violent outbursts. In addition to PTSD, she also has other major issues with both her mental and physical health, and she literally has no excuse for any of her behavior because she has plenty of opportunity to get help and refuses to do so.

Some people are assholes from start, then you add combat service and they really F's them up. Theres a few things would set me me off and getting in my face for no reason is one of them. Im fortunate i wasnt in combat but like you said some of these people refuse to get help.

I honestly don't know if the guy who worked for my mechanic was in any kind of therapy, but he was still incredibly difficult to deal with and I don't miss dealing with him when I bring my truck in for service; I am also guilty of being a jerk about certain things. A perfect example would be earlier this year, once again at my mechanic's shop; I had literally had my truck in for service less than a week earlier, and the mask mandate was no longer a thing. I was fully vaccinated and thought that I was done wearing a mask outside of a medical setting, but I had to bring back my truck again for something else, and I flipped the fuck out at both my mechanic and his receptionist (Donna, the same woman who posed with my truck in the "Zombie Huntress" outfit a couple weeks ago, who also happens to be his mother-in-law). The reasoning for reinstating the universal mask mandate inside the office/waiting room was due to Donna being in her early 60s and having concerns about her health. My argument was that both Donna and myself, as well as my mechanic, were fully vaccinated and I shouldn't have to start wearing a mask; I threw a fit and made an ass of myself, and I ended up feeling so bad later that I called and apologized. Within a couple weeks, the universal mask mandate was dropped once again, likely due to intense unpopularity among other customers.

I have no problem with wearing masks in certain situations, but due to my autism-related sensory issues, I cannot wear most masks for extended periods of time. My friend Anna, who is also on the spectrum, has even more severe sensory issues than I do; I was actually refusing to go to my doctor for a physical because until a couple weeks ago, they mandated masks for everybody regardless of vaccination status; I just can't do masks anymore. If you want to wear a mask, then wear a mask; I will respect your decision to do as you please, but please let that be a two-way street and respect my decision to not wear a mask because of my sensory issues!

I made a passenger wear a mask in my truck one time, back in January 2021. This was only because vaccines weren't available yet, and I didn't know him...

How did I end up with a stranger in my truck? Well, the CEO of the company I work for hired a guy to ship his 1967 Mustang from Pennsylvania down to South Carolina for restoration. The transporter ended up needing something from AutoZone to facilitate the loading of the Mustang, and I drove him there since his truck was hooked up to a 5th wheel trailer and my boss's Escalade was blocked in; I didn't know what I know about COVID, so I asked him to mask up in my truck due to the close quarters, and he was fine with it.

If a passenger in my truck decided to wear a mask, regardless of whether or not they were somebody I knew well, that would be fine. This day in age, I would not be cruel enough to force a mask on anybody riding my truck. Also, I almost never have perfect strangers in my truck, and to be honest I rarely have passengers with the exception of my dog. My friend Mike is without a doubt the person who rides in my truck most often, almost exclusively to movies and the occasional car show. Before Mike finally got his driver's license, he rode in my truck almost every weekend. Now that he has his license and his own vehicle, he very rarely rides in my truck; Anna does not yet have a driver's license and has been riding in my truck a lot lately.

I always wear my seatbelt, whether I am driving or I am a passenger; I have a couple of friends who do not wear seatbelts, and when riding with them, I always wear mine but do not think it is my place to ask them to wear theirs in their own vehicle. I always make passengers in my truck, or any vehicle I am driving, wear a seatbelt; I want my passenger(s) to have a chance of surviving in the event of a collision! People on the autism spectrum tend to be really good about common sense issues, like putting on their seatbelt; Anna and Mike always put on their seatbelt without being asked.

I have encountered a lot of perfect strangers who, totally unprovoked and for no obvious reason whatsoever, get in my face. I have been having these encounters since middle school, like this one time in gym class (in either 6th or 7th grade) when a classmate flipped out on me because he thought my lack of skills had cost his team that day's football game. Luckily, I had awesome gym teachers in both 6th and 7th grade who did not take kindly to bullying in their classes, and my teacher stepped between us before I could give that kid a well-deserved black eye. Seriously dude, it's just a game!

I was just under 12 years old the one and only time I legitimately beat somebody up. This was in February 2001 (I was born in March 1989, so I was literally just under 12 years old), and a friend of mine was like 8 at that time kept throwing hard packed "ice balls" at me after being repeatedly asked not to. This kid and his older brother (who was my age) were my friends, but they were hanging out with a couple of other kids who didn't like me, and mob mentallity took over. We were living in Oak Harbor, Washington and it does not generally snow there so this was a treat. The school district declared a snow day. My friends Justin and Cody (the brothers) ganged up with their other friends and started throwing these ice balls at me that hurt like a motherfucker on impact; I basically turned into the Incredible Hulk and animal instinct took over. They ran away like the cowards they were, and Justin had the misfortune of being the slowest; I caught Justin, slammed him down on his back in the snow, and just literally started wailing on him. Justin started crying, and I stopped hitting him; I realized that Cody and the other guys had stopped running and were watching me kick Justin's ass, so I figured it would be in my best interest to run before they could regroup. Thankfully, my house was literally right around the corner and I was safely inside with the doors locked before Cody and the rest of the guys got anywhere near me; Justin, Cody, and I remained friends, and guess what else? Justin never fucked with me ever again! I haven't seen Justin or Cody in more than 20 years, but I am still friends with both of them on Facebook and I still chat with Cody fairly often.

Well, New Jersey hates you back!

Didn’t you know that if guns are banned, nobody can have a gun?? Criminals are also bound by the rules.

I've still got beer left over from Massachusetts; I figured Sam Adams would taste better if purchased at a liquor store an hour out of Boston, so I bought it...
