I was tig'n a AN drain bung to some shit pot aluminum and went lefty to get this little itty bitty spot at the very end and burned my finger and want UZI with the torch. Actually a big issue and inconvenience.

Some people just have that really good hand eye coordination that makes them great tig welders and pistol shooters.

I bet that welder might do nothing but Tig

 

You’re probably right, I had to weld a couple pieces while we were there the other day and he ask me if I wanted to use the TIG

As for the change the axis/orientation, I just learned an easy way yesterday.

Right click on Setup, select the Orientation, and notice how the axis arrows are actually two seperate line segments. Look at the X axis arrow in pic. I am hovering over the first part of the arrow and it is gray.

Play with those and you'll see you can change orientation.

in that example in the video, the other clue that the profile is not closed is the little bubbles at the end of the line segments. When he joins them, they go away and you are left with just the lines making a corner.

A constraint is a dimension or a rule (like parallel, or midpoint) and when the sketch is fully constrained it turns black. That means every feature of your sketch and it’s location relative to the origin is fully defined. Nothing can “float.”

It took me a while to learn fusion’s constraint system to be efficient but the cool thing about it is you can make sketches that are very easy to change if you know sort of in advance how you might want to change them.

 

Those little bubbles were not visible until I zoomed waaaay in!
