    I have a buddy working in a golf course, but all the trees they have trimmed are wet.

    What ever you do dot try cutting your own. I tried. And failed. I got about a wheelbarrow full of wood for about 5 hours of headaches and problems. Stupid chainsaws

    Our's and my grandma's property have plenty of trees that need clearing so we haven't had to buy firewood ever. Lots of chainsaw and splitting work though.

    I am sitting in front of my woodstove right now , nice and toasty with my nice dry fir firewood I cut with my chainsaw , split with my maul , and stacked in my woodshed .

    OP , if there are any woodworking shops in your area , you may be able to get free dry off cuts , another scrounge firewood source is pallets .

    You should move to BC , you can help us halt the exporting of raw old growth logs to US mills in Washington State .
