I don't believe it. Whether you're twisting a key or pushing the button, the function is a momentary switch (circuit is closed while it's being activated, open when released). Either one would work to activate the starter alongside the Clutch Start system. I think the real reason is that Toyota knows MT drivers are more "old school" and either wouldn't mind or actually enjoy inserting and turning a key, just like we enjoy shifting our own gears. It's more tactile, and makes you feel more connected to the vehicle.

Personally, I would prefer not having this jagged metal blade in my pocket or having to take it out of my pocket to unlock the doors and start the truck.

I’m working with a dealer that charges no markup over MSRP for my next PRO. Already have the 2024 reserved. Question will be whether I trade in the old pro or keep two pros as people will value the third Gen a lot more when it’s gone.

I'd keep it if it's not a financial problem. I am seeing Tundras selling for at msrp or a fewk over while the 2021 pros are selling for 15 grand over used. Look at the FJ cruiser. How many lime pros are there? I am not seeing many lime sports or OR either. Avondale toyota for example has 161 2023 tacomas coming and no lime.

I just saw 1794 tundra in army green used with 336 miles on it sell for 5k under msrp.

He is pretty good at that stuff; he started working at the dealership in early August, did a week or so of training (he's never sold cars before, but he is definitely a "Car Guy"); within a month he was in the top 3 sales associates at the dealership.

Shit those control arms are a grand a piece that will be fun to replace every 60-100k miles.

also technically there is a pro rear fender too

Modifying in practice always ends up costing more than you expect if you want to use OEM or high quality parts, especially if you have to pay for labor.

What dealer in Utah did you buy from? Apparently dealers in Idaho and Arizona won’t sell to a non resident right now due to shortages.
