Got a phone call from the fbi sa Carlos (nothing else, no dept or full name) saying there is a warrant for my arrest. lol. When I blew him off and kinda laughed at him he hung up on me. The number was from a fbi office in richmond, so the scammers are getting sophisticated.

The lack of controls on “spoofed” calls is ridiculous. We as customers of the phone companies should have to option to not accept any of these calls or be able to set a rate and charge the caller by the minute.

Government has really been pushing the telecom companies to deal with this crap. Article I read was old, so I don't know what is going on now. But I can make guesses.....

We like to listen to them war dial as the ringing phone moves around the office space. I enjoy answering and messing with them. I'll ask them if it has to do with some heinous crime I'll make up on the spot. And then detail the crime and ask them if it's really against the law.

I flew into Fargo ND today. Went to pick up my rental and they offered me two choices. One was a mini van, or for the same price....

Rolling in style through ND and MN! It's much quieter than mine

Finally getting back to where I was (almost) back in January before I lost my marbles, took everything off my ‘17, and ordered a ‘22. Just got the CMC, pinch weld, and wheels/tires done today.

Pretty stoked with how it turned out, and looking forward to getting back on some trails with you all when I get back.

Edit: local fabricator (Masha Fab) did a fantastic job on the CMC/pinch weld also…really glad I let a professional do the work. :D

I told them I would've been totally content with a minivan. So practical and spacious! I definitely fit in better in this area with a truck though. Ever been in a Ford Flex? I think I'd go with one of those over a minivan if they still made them. Love those things.

All the dumb choices in one vehicle
I had an uncle who had won first place on a few of those back in his day. Was trying to look for a newspaper clipping, but couldn't find anything. He described some of the events and it seemed like it would be challenging in a regular car, much less a semi or a bus!

I was able to avoid owning a mini-van throughout our entire child rearing phase. I know they're practical as hell but I would feel like I've given up on myself and in life in general if I bought one. That's just me though....there are probably larger issues at play that would require weeks of therapy to uncover.

I'd rock the shit out of a Sienna. They're all hybrid now so they get in the 30s mpg wise and they don't look half bad.

At one point we were running dual siennas. One was older and it became the boy-scout camp mobile so all our friends could ride in one vehicle. My parents threatened that it would be my first car, but eventually a bunch of little things started to go bad after 15 years and I had a job to use my own money to buy something I wanted

Taking the middle row seats out, sitting in the 3rd row, and pretending it was a helicopter was also very epic

C'mon, that's a decent looking vehicle. Don't worry, your masculinity isn't at stake by agreeing. :gossip:

We shall all now bow our heads in memory of Randy. He is fully "suburban dad" now.

I wish I had an excuse to rock a minivan, maybe when we have a second child. You can haul full sheets of plywood in them if you lay the seats down, can't say the same about the tiny beds of tacomas, or even tundras.
