Truck driver b.s.

Saturday morning 6 am and back at work. I hope it's a short day today but I never know what to expect. We used to work half days on Saturday but not anymore it seems.

 

A little over 7 hours today.......I'm tired after 6 days. But came home and bagged the leaves, now im tired.

 

I'm tired just reading this.

 

I swung the axe a few hundred times go make some kindling the dumb way. Cause that’s how I like to do things. Pretty sore now too.

 

Soooo......

Friday, I get to my first delivery and the receiving supervisor says to me: hey, you've gotta come see this shit! They have 4 inside docks opposite the 2 outside docks. A guy pulled in with 40k lbs of paper. They asked him to back in and drop his trailer because the angle the tractor sits at outside the door leaves the trailer unstable and puts a lot of strain on the 5th wheel. They tell him he needs to use the provided blocks to block his landing gear.



Dipshit only blocked one side of his landing gear and drove straight out without airing down his suspension. The only thing that kept the trailer from going over is the dockplate.

A local heavy construction contractor came over with a 20t forklift to lift the nose of the trailer so the dipshit could block the other side.

 

Man I used to haul paper, I hated that shit. Rolls in the nose and rolls on the tail with nothing inbetween and only a flimsy e track strap to secure them. I was always happy to be off loaded of that crap.
Well it's Monday, start of another 6 day week.

 

That looks like it was fun to watch but not be apart of.

 

They closed the doors because the wind was causing the trailer to sway. Only opened it up again when the forklift was in place.

 

Morning run to and ontop the mountains the driveway we gotta drop on is slick and drops off down the mountain but otherwise lovely little drive. If I did work from home stuff you could bet your best that I’d buy a lot up here and build a home.

I love it in the fall and winter. I have a Timelapse going up to the house but TW won’t let me post it.

Yup, rainy humpday here too.

 

Well it's FRIYAY! But no joy yet, still gotta work tomorrow.

Slept like garbage last night, but it tis Friday.

 

Spending my morning at the hospital with the wife. It's ok, she's just having a simple procedure, no biggie. The scenery is good, lotsa pretty nurses.

Picked up this playstation 1. Got some tomb raider games, gonna kick back and retro.

 

Retro to me is atari pong, lol.

 

Still at work, gonna be 11 or 12 hours today. Back at 7 am in the morning.
