I have an idea for new tires and wheels that I like better than stock, and would be about the same price if i can sell my stock wheel/tires for a good price. I know a lot depends on area and price, but were you all able to easily offload takeoffs? How much is fair for an OR/Wranger set with around 100 miles? I was thinking 13-1500 based on online prices. Did you sell local or online? I'm curious what average shipping costs winds up being for these if online is a viable market.

Ive actually sold two sets of like new Trd OR takeoffs. One with tpms and the other without. Both had less than 1,000 miles on them. I sold the one with tpms for 850 and the one without for 700. This was in the Bay Area, CA. Both took about a week to sell at those prices. Sold both using Facebook marketplace.

That's kind of what i'm worried about. I don't not like the stock setup, i wouldn't want to sell them for cheap.

    That’s more reasonable. I’d say 6-800

25-50% of what you see as retail.

I dont blame you. Ive considered going with a different tire/wheel combo, but Im a cheap bastard. Cant justify the hit Id take on the stock setup. Ill just wait till I need new tires and upgrade then. Wont hurt as much.

Just sold my stock '17 TRD OR wheels with worn stock tires to a buddy for $400. Gave him the stock spare with the deal.

He is putting them in his '14 TRD Spurt.

Stock tread life on tires is horrible. They use softer compound. So it’s hard to look online for retail prices. Going rate for takeoffs is about $800 is you’re lucky

Buy your new setup, leave those stock wheels and tires piled up, kinda in your way for 6 months, then sell them for 500, you’ll feel like it was a great price then :D. Somehow I know this

    Sorry :(

one thing you could do is run the tires out a little more just to get a little more use out of them and then sell. I’ve seen tons of ones with 15-20k miles on them for 600 or so

Do you think 1st and 2nd gen drivers are going to spend over 300 for a set of 3rd gen OR take offs?

Sometimes 3rd gen owners will pay a little more if they are going into a trade in and need something quickly. Ask me how I know haha

Well, look at it this way; your stock wheel / tires are not going to be any more desirable to a potential buyer than they are right fucking now! IMO, it's do it now or drive on your OEM shoes until they have to be replaced.

    There you go.

Tacoma owners can be very frugal at times.
