another option, if you are looking at say the 16 inch Trd pro wheels, you could always just sell the wheels for about $400 and have the new wheels mounted on the OEM tires. I did this on my 2019 and was able to run out the OEM tires until I upgraded to the size up. Kinda eased me into the pain of selling the takeoffs. I sold my OEM wheels for $400 and bought the Trd pro wheels for about $900 mounted so only had to fork out $500

I see people update stock steels/road tires with nicer takeoffs all the time.

For sure! A lot of 1st Gen trucks out there with 3rd gen takeoffs. They actually look pretty sick on those old trucks

I dont mind the tires at all, so i might turn my attention to new 16s. The TRDs are nice, just not a fan of black. The FSW clones looked like a nice alternative.

Sold mine with about 2k on them for $900 in Northern California. They were posted for about 5 days before they sold. I included the tpms

Tpms helped me sell mine too. They are super expensive from the dealer

I ran these on my 2019 for a while. Also had the 2020 pro wheels. I hear you on black wheels. Kinda overdone

I sold my stock 245/75/16 tires with sr5 dark athrocyte wheels for $600 or $700 to a fellow TW member. They had less than 500 miles on them.

I bought 4 take off Firestone Destination LE2 (OEM Sport tire) with 200 miles for $550. Current retail is $221/each so I thought I did alright.
Put them on take off 4 Runner trail wheels I got for $450.

I sold my sport wheels and tires for $400 with less than 7,500 miles. The Guy that bought them did so for the tires and not the wheels. The OR tires should fetch you a little more because they're Goodyear Kevlars, but demand for OR or Sport wheels are rare.

I always buy an extra set of wheels to mount snow tires so I would have no interest in buying wheels with tires. I usually get them on ebay since I have never been able to find any locally. I can usually find a set of four for about $600 including shipping.

Dismounting and selling the wheels online and the tires locally could be the best recoup if no one bites on the package.

I sold mine for $400 with no tpms and the tires were pretty much shot after 70k miles. The guy wanted them for some cheap rims.

I’d hold on to them. I’m glad I held onto my OEM ones as I’m trading in for a new 23. Don’t be so quick to sell and recoup that money, after all it’s only a few hundred.

Yeah one of my personal regrets too. The only thing that kinda forced me to sell was space limitations in the garage

I sold my 4 stock OR Wranglers for $500 1 month after buying the truck (with ~700 mi. on them). I just sold the stock OR wheels about 2 weeks ago for $320 because I got some new 17” wheels. I also just sold the unused spare tire mounted to the factory steel 16” wheel for $150 (because I got a matching spare to my new tires now). I think I got about the highest price possible for everything. The wheels and tires are a lot easier to sell separately as opposed to mounted because then anyone can buy the tires for any truck instead of just a Toyota.
