Is the overlay just vinyl? Or is it an extra piece of plastic snapped on?

Nice! I was wondering about this, couldn't find anything to verify. I painted mine but it didn't come out perfect. I'm ordering one of these! Thanks for posting!

Cosmoline? The waxy stuff? I didn't even know that was a thing!

Not difficult at all as long as you have the correct couplers. The front scoop just bolts in to place once you remove the oem plastic piece above the fan shroud.

I haven't had anything come loose. I'd like to think the engine gets cleaner air since most of my exploring deals with fine desert dirt that my wheels kick up. I originally did the reroute to free space up for my compressor but went with a different mounting location after.

I didn't either, did a ton of searching before committing to anything. Really impressed with the out come, the guy did a rust removal and then sprayed it. Now it's cured and it's super hard. Definitely worth the money.

Mind sharing what it set you back? My ‘06 is of the rusting variety and I’d like to get another 50-75k out of it so have been on the fence if some prevent-defense would be worthwhile…

Cosmoline works well, it sets up a nice waxy compound that stays in place, the problem is that it's petroleum based, so as it comes off over time, it's just not great for the surrounding environment. I prefer woolwax, or it's thinner sibling fluid film, because they're lanolin based. They don't set up like a hard wax though, so you reapply them once a year vs cosmoline which should give you a handful of years. Different strokes for different folks.

Grabbed a blemished “bronze” ray10 as a 5th spare to my set of “brushed bronze limited” RAY10’s. My truck isn’t a show truck so I didn’t care about the mismatch. After putting the wheels next to each other they look nearly the same (especially in the shade). They are def NOT the same but I was stoked to see this lol. Really not a big deal for me personally

It has been a hectic week. I just moved from BC to Alberta.

A few days before my trip the TPMS light came on and I found a screw in my tire. With no time to get into a tire shop I had to look at the classifieds for used tires on rims. There, I found a fairly used set of Open Country AT3s on TRD rims. Before and after pics below.

Recently added a Curt class III tow hitch myself. Had a shop install the Long Tru-Cool 4454 transmission cooler and replace my stock base shocks with new take off 3rd Gen TRD OR shocks and coils. She's sitting about level now. More if I put the spare tire back on. Next up is the OEM oil cooler kit. Easy enough to do myself.
