I've been promised that we'll be setting aside time to talk about tech debt and baggage in the future. Perhaps this will be useful.

I caught peak colors last weekend visiting my folks in southern Wisconsin upload_2022-10-29_13-40-1.jpg

Also caught their turkeys having an early Halloween party or something

That sucks. Didn't realize it was that bad in the Midwest.

This is too fuckin real. We split our Android app into 7 modules and it is a fucking nightmare every day of my life. So much context switching and cascading dependencies. Getting work done is a pipe dream.

Yep. The Mississippi is so low it’s screwing up barge traffic, and when I was camping on the Missouri a couple weeks ago the old local guy said he’s never seen it so low. No bueno, I like this state better without it burning to the ground.

Fixed, or rather bandaged more rotten framing.

Did the best I could given the circumstances on that framing. Its really a bad spot to have to make that sort of repair. Its better than it was which is good enough for me.

Bleached the shit out of the brick to kill the mold, still gonna give it a few coats of kilz before paint. The house smells way better with the old kitchen completely gone, no more rat feces and mold I guess will do that.

Found a PSU that'll go nicely with the white case for the new build this way I don't steal the AX860 from the current build -

    20221029_160352.jpg

Also, this just arrived today for the old build; I can appreciate the fact that it comes with a backplate since it's missing on the old mobo -

    20221029_160644.jpg

For the new build I just need some ram, a cpu cooler (should arrive next week), and that's it.

For the old build I just need some ram as well (arrives next week), a psu, some storage (next week), and a grey/beige case to throw it all inside of.

Three computers and laptops will be a bit much so I'll see if I can sell my 6700k build.

Oh man, the first time I was introduced to Diablo on PC was on a Thinkpad back in '96 or so.

We were visiting my uncle and the family were all in the pool (at his house) while I got to hang out in the living room playing Diablo; that was when I really got hooked into PC gaming.
