Clutch will intermittently engage when the climate is turned ON for any setting that does not require AC.
    • 10 second on and 10 second off.
    • AC good over summer, with no intermittency.
    • Relay under hood is good. Clicks and disengages clutch when pulled.
    • Aware of the MAX and DEFROST settings that engage system.
    • A/C light is off during symptoms.
    • Clutch gap is good.
    • Sensor on compressor tested good as per other posts last year.
    • Engine will rev up split second before engaging.
    • Troubling shooting was done while parked during idle and with throttle.
    • Clutch felt engaging while driving.
Have not had any luck in finding others with similar issues.
Possibly by design to prevent seizure, system maintenance or cabin comfort. If so, I can live by this design.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

The undesirable solution is to have a kill switch wired off the relay.

I have an idea of what it may be but I don't have my diagrams in front of me right now to tell you which pins to check voltage on.
But meanwhile check the wires on your mode servo (top one on the left side with the glovebox removed) for any broken ones.

Resolved! Thank you for the direction DM93. Also found the solution deeper in an AC modification post. There has to be a break in the green wire. As per the DIY, solder green to the pink to resolve this issue for 2009+. Explains why the previous owner shredded the rubber AC clutch with it snapping on and off constantly.

Could also be a problem with the actuator itself, I did that bypass on mine years ago for both the mode and temp actuators because I hated the A/C being forced on with defrost and also with the temp knob all the way to the left.
I made mine reversible though so I can put it back if ai need to.
