Some followup: the Yokohamas got here today and while they're set aside I crawled around under the truck to check the manufacture date on the BFGs... they were all 4 manufactured over 11 years ago in the first half of 2011 :bananadead:. No wonder the sidewall randomly grenaded. Keep me in your prayers for when I drive to the tire shop this weekend on 3 11 year old tires and 1 split rim as a spare.

Yup the headlight services kit. Looks like nice quality. They got it shipped to me fast. Real nice improvement over what I've had (old bulbs in after market housings).

I pulled my injectors for cleaning today. My assumption was that they'd never been pulled, but there was a nice thick layer of RTV in the cups (made it fun to pull them out, and gonna be even more fun to clean out the cups).

    20221028_180836.jpg

My question for the 3RZ guys is, do they need a seal inside the cups? A google image search shows about half with seals and half without. I got 4x Fel-Pro ES 70600, which came with 2 identical o-ring seals per package. Nothing that looks like this picture. I think I bought the wrong thing.

Definitely don't want to go the RTV route if I don't have to... I'd just buy injectors ($50 for a flow matched remanufactured set on ebay), except I want to see how well my cleaning method worked. :D

EDIT: Looks like AutoZone has the injector seal kits I'd need to get mine looking like the bottom picture. $15 per injector, so no big deal. I'll grab them tomorrow.

Got the Yokohamas mounted. Also @K-DubTaco the tire guys said the wheels are 15x10 so if that's the case they're the 69 series 15x10 with 3.625 BS.

Yeah I'd get yours serviced and new seals...cheap injectors on eBay are usually too good to be true. Counterfeit OEM injectors are all over eBay. @CS_AR has some good write ups on how to spot them.

I picked up new seals today, so my injectors are ready to go once I give the intake cleaner I sprayed down the cups a chance to evaporate. Had to go to 3 different AutoZones to get 4 sets of seals, but luckily there's an AutoZone every few blocks around here

One interesting thing, though. Got the same part # at each store, but two of the boxes had the wrong size o-ring (way too big), so it turned out that I needed the Fel-Pro ES 70600 to fill in the gaps. Here's the wrong size o-rings next to the correct ones.

    20221029_160012.jpg

    And my finished injectors.

    20221029_160221.jpg

You can see that the part #s on my injectors do not match, so there's a good chance I'll be buying new at some point. Not today, though.

    4 run, 2 don't
Ah man, I hate chasing parts!

One thing I did some time back (and glad I did) is buy a box with a variety set of o-rings and cotter pins.

Never know when you'll need a certain size o-ring or cotter pin!

Got rid of my LED headlights today. Just wanted the truck to look more period correct. Installed Hella ecodes and Hella Performance 2.0 +100% H4 bulbs. I also removed the 6000K LED tag bulbs and put halogen 168 bulbs back in. Installed warm white 4500K LED reverse bulbs and dome light.

swapped the ome 882 coils for 881, dropped the front a decent bit, rides way better, cv angles are much better, now i just need to trim for these 285s a little more :anonymous::anonymous::anonymous:

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Need to be careful with eBay or Amazon injectors from unknown sources. I bought a set of injectors from Amazon and the pintle caps melted. That caused a serious fuel leak on the intake manifold. I could smell fuel and couldn't figure out what happened. I was lucky the truck didn't go up in flames.

The telltale sign of a counterfeit is the part number has been ground off or the part number is missing. There is often a lot number that is embossed on the side of the brown plastic body. you are better off getting your old injectors serviced than buying new counterfeits. Two of the injectors in the picture above look suspect.

Ah dang yeah that wouldve been nice, I'd recommend having a bumper with the 882s, they were way too stiff even with 4wd v6 double cab and stock bumper.
And yeah I was going to paint match but got scared with the frameless windows and pulling those out so I just went rattle can, really happy with how it turned it.

Have the ARB on and winch will be coming along shortly. Just need to decide which and pull the trigger.
Color match looks good on certain colors. Pulling those windows, yeah pass. Color is very close if not the same as the wheels and blends with the body. Rattle can FTW!
