I'll have to check them out! This was the harness they gave us when we picked him up, we're planning on replacing it with something that handles the pulling better.

Well, I'm sleeping in a bit tomorrow. :) He came out at last light about 15 minutes after a couple of doe bleats and cut a diagonal across the field right to me. I had just finished packing up all my stuff and was looking at a possum that walked out when I saw him. He was already half way across the field and in a little gulley. With the light fading I thought it might have been a coyote until he got closer and on higher ground. He was across a drainage ditch from me at about 30 yards quartering slightly towards me when I shot. Heard that satisfying thwack, he turned and ran about halfway back across the field and piled up. Double lung.

He's super old, only has a few bottom front teeth, nothing else! I doubt he would have lasted long after the rut.

He's got a little sticker for a total of 11 points, and I'm pretty sure he'd be over 250 on the hoof. IMG_20221029_191303.jpg IMG_20221029_201020.jpg

I don't know if I would go as far as monumental...
They looked great and had an array of fine engines from the leaning tower of power to the 440 and the legendary TorqueFlight automatic.
    .
    .
    .
    They also had:
    - ridiculously small brakes that didn't stop for jack and a hand brake that would stick unless you took the linkage apart and greased it every 3 months
    - the wonky unit bearing front end with the stunningly expensive press bearings that nobody remembered to grease -- until they replaced them once that is
    - the 2 speed heater that emitted more noise than heat -- all winter your feet were always wet and freezing, the floorboards just wet
    - the defroster sucked too
    - typical Chrysler wipers that left half the passengers view un-wiped, you had to crane your head to the left to see what you were about to hit
    - lets not forget the constantly leaky windshield that was cunningly designed to drip right on the main electrical bulkhead connector
and then drip on the floor boards
    - the handy included ammeter passed the full load of the charging system, they had a habit of melting down
    - talk about handy, how about the fuse box (glass fuses) under the glove box lid in the middle of the dash, at least water didn't drip on that
    - they were completely devoid of sound insulation, driving on a gravel road sounded like you were in a metal shed
    - they used a floor hinged accelerator pedal, until the floor rusted away around it - just for comparison my 1966 Ford has a suspended pedal
    - and they rusted a bit too...

Well, they did have great engines and transmissions... :notsure:
Yeah, I spent a lot to time in and under 70's Dodge trucks.

We Don`t speak of the Ohio State Police!!

They cost me much money over the years when the state was at 55mph.
