Custom, only one ever designed and built interiors, heavily welded frame, all sharp metal turned bed rack and a roof top I made for $75. Power pedal, injen intake system, cat delete, summit racing brake proportioning valve controlled on the fly, slightly adjusted or perhaps unrecognizable ECM, built in under bed storage, high clearance rear built with 1/4" on a 6011 1/8" rod at 120 amps, 360 degrees of led light, a PA and CB, on board air, on board propane (to cook food), on board fridge made from an old red bull fridge found on some guys man cave built into the storage cubby under the back seat, imported tranny and clutch from a good friend over in Europe to replace this aisin junk we get, combined 32 gallons fuel capacity, 18 5 gallons of water storage, built in gun locker under RTT, and all it cost was to hear the wife ramble on about upset neighbors at 2 in the morning every night since I bought that damn truck..
Today while making progress, I balanced it out with quite the opposite.. so now I'll be NOT reporting yet another major disaster to the insurance company. "What about full coverage? You're paying $282.00 a month for nothing." Right. Bcuz my truck screams full coverage. Once I pay off the $29,000 I still owe on this poor creature, she's getting liability like the other 3 that combined cost $34 mon
The boss makes a dollar, I make a dime. That's why I poop on company time.

The ‘22 TRD* automatics come with remote start so if he wants it he may not need to buy anything. I haven’t decided yet if I’ll use mine as I’ve made it this long without it. But I didn’t think I’d “need” the smart key and now when I get in the old 4Runner I can’t figure out why the doors won’t unlock and how to start the thing. I suddenly do need the smart key.

Repainted sliders since its wet season here in Wa, reinforced my steering rack mounts and bolt checked the rig.

Installed a B&M short shifter and finally repainted the chrome around my cup holders to black.

Thank you, I appreciate the offer. Just ordered the light assembly at the phone charger. Plan to tap into that circuit and install the light somewhere in the glove box.

As promised, morning video of my Amazon LED bed light test. They seem pretty good. I'll see if I like them, for actual night loading/unloading, before considering a Matt gecko set of strip LEDs like I got under hood.

Greased zerks and banged on the carrier bearing to see if it's the reason why the damn thing shakes on the highway.

    Oh look, another mod....

You want it, trust me. Like you said, it's like your sidearm. Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.

About....6months ago a big dump truck was driving down the highway and wasn't covered. The dump bed was almost empty, and a piece of metal debris flew out and hit-cracked my windshield. I was able to stop the truck, get the drivers info and got his company too pay to replace the windshield. I had to replace it, the crack was RIGHT in my eye line.

To have it replaced with OEM glass and re-calibrated from Safelite? $1400 I spent just over $100 (pre-pandemic pricing before inflation took off) for the Garmin Mini 2 dash cam. That $100 saved me $1400! Money well spent.

Don't forget though, a dashcam doesn't always save your ass. Because sometimes the other driver doesn't have insurance at all, or enough insurance. Get under-insured/un-insured added to your policy if you don't already have it.

Has anyone seen anything from Toyota to confirm the remote start on TRD models? My 22 OR will not start from the fob, and I have remote services connected.

It's available on all models with the push button start. So, if you have a manual tranny, then you don't have remote start.

Mine is an auto. I’ve tried every combination of button presses I’ve seen on here 25 times each. Not sure what the hell is up.

Nobody, ever, anywhere, was overheard saying, "Man, I'm glad I didn't have dashcam video of that truck running the redlight and totaling my new car. What a relief."

I think the secret sauce, is to click the Lock button on FOB, Click[1], Click[2], Click[3], Click[4](long hold, 1, 2, 3).

    Try that see what happens.

I’m gonna keep trying, but I’ve done that combo probably 40 times with different speeds.

Fished out a dropped mirror housing nut with magnets, a piece of wire hanger (the flexible grab tool was too wide), trial and error, and time (sprinkle in some luck as well). Learn the tip I learned too late - when working above an inaccessible/questionable location (in this particular area things don't simply fall to the bottom of the door) wrap the top of the socket with electrical tape leaving 1/4 inch-ish above the edge, then the head of the nut presses the tape inside the socket and creates more grip. Or - use a magnetized socket. Add not rushing and taking some care and this will mitigate the potential for lost fasteners. I fail so you might not...
