I have a Lavabox and like it a lot. American made by a small family business.

If you're talking about the box producing fire on the ground, it is a Lavabox, which I've been very happy with. Don't think my stove is in any of the pics, so I'll assume that's what it is. You *can* cook on a Lavabox in theory, but it's suggested to not cook things that drip (they make a grate/stand thing if you wanted to set a pan/pot on it, but they don't suggest just throwing a steak on it).

I drove up to Lake Superior Provincial Park for a few days of late season canoe tripping. I'll post more photos in the camping thread, this is the only one of the Taco before I entered the interior of the park.

How were the flies when you were there? We tried to camp there a couple weeks ago and had to leave. Thousands of flies were in my truck, swarming over us and anything we were trying to drink. I said to hell with it after a couple hours and we high tailed it to a higher, fly free altitude.

Flys weren’t bad but there were loads of mud daubers and wasps they mostly kept to themselves but had to watch where you were walking.

I spent hours getting rid of the flies after we got home. I thought I had all of them but as soon as it warmed up, they reanimated. I drove around with my canopy wide open trying to get them out. It was brutal.

Had something similar when I was in Moab, left the doors open for an hour or so and every time I got in my truck there were 3 or four flies. I would open the windows and get them out but a few hours later another couple would appear. Happened for 3-4 days before they all got out.

Looks like a tote on the unfolded section of the tonneau.

Only one pic unfortunately. That is just a camping tote sitting on the front of the cover. 3- fold cover. I built a hinged bracket that allows 2 of the panels to be supported at an angle. Needs some refinement but this was the prototype trip.

Next time I set it up I’ll post some better pictures. The plan was to make it where a tarp/tent lining just snaps into place.
