Re-worked the DIY harness for the transfer case position indicator switches. These things are a hassle trying to find the correct connectors so I decided to just replace them altogether. Initially looked at 84222-35121. What's different about this one is it doesn't have leads coming off of it. It takes a basic connector and makes the entire DIY harness process that much easier. So since this thing is a simple switch, I grabbed 3 of the aftermarket (beck-arnley) off of Amazon $14/ea. Plugged them into the transfer case (27mm @ 27ftlbs.), checked each position and confirmed they tested fine with the multimeter. Good to go. Even if these switches should crap out, it'll be a simple thing of just unplug and replace.

For the actual harness, going to wire H4 and L4 along the same route/position @mjhenks outlined in his thread but for the Neutral position switch going to do it a little different. Instead of tying it in with the other 2, going to route it to where its supposed to go - the A/T P indicator on the cluster. This way, its going to illuminate if its in N and give a visual HEY YOU, even if you're in park, you can still roll - so GTFO of Neutral! :smack:

Also a note on the connectors I used, since I have all the crimp tools from when I built the RTMR I went with the connector "kit" (linked above). They also sell a pig tail version where its pre-assembled or just the connector itself. You can find all 3 options here -

Final leg of the swap. Plan is to get the transmission back in tomorrow. Nearly done.

edit: after further digging, if anyone ever needs to replace the stock transfer case position switch connectors on the harness side, they are as follows:

Transfer L4 Position Switch Connector: 90980-11156
Transfer Neutral Position Switch Connector: 90980-10923
Transfer 4WD Position Switch Connector (w/2-4 Selector): 90980-11250
Transfer 4WD Position Switch Connector (wo/2-4 Selector): 90980-11156 (same as L4)

DIY HHO system installed w/ a PWM kit I bought a while ago, still need to mod air/fuel ratio to compensate. Any buddy have a experience with a favorite HHO EFIE OBD2 chip? Last time I ran one of these setups on a 22RE and only had one O2 sensor to deal with, I used an analog EFIE inline between the sensor and ECU. Now I have the 3RZ and I’m not sure I can use the same method, so I’m thinking the OBD2 chip will be easier. Thoughts?

Got most of the kink out of the frame. Need to get a tram to measure everything. But tape measure says the rest of the frame is straight

just go get a stud extractor from the parts store. Slap it in an impact and you'll be good.
