We need cheaper hobbies. Maybe I’ll take up knitting.

Wasn't too big of a job. Especially going through the wheel well to get the alternator out and back in.

Nice! This took a second for the brain power, But got it.

I’m surprised Chic-a-lay hasn’t seek’d you out yet, for a commercial or a cardboard cutout in the stores.

I see you're working hard to get that Chick-Fil-A sponsorship. Lifetime sauce is in the cards.

Finished up a relocate for a buddy today. Tomorrow I’m going to head over to the steel store and see if they have any tube. If so, I’ll put the shackle flip on and get started on a rear bumper.

Guess you plan on working fast! Will you have to reset your lower shock mounts with the shackle flip?

Dual sport riding. The cost to fun ratio is unbelievably good.

Everything’s too damn far. Once we move west there’s a good chance I’ll buy a dirt bike again, that’s another good cost to fun ratio hobby.

Shackle flip and bumper are coming along nicely. I moved the shackle flip as far forward as I could to get the desired shackle angle and the ass is still sitting too high for my liking.

The bumper takes priority and if I have time, I’ll switch my leafs to option 1 which will take away some lift.

That tube is just a mock-up to show how tight and high it is to the body.

Seems like with that set up, you don’t gain a ton of clearance and in place of the hammer hangers, your leaf will take the impacts now, maybe I’m wrong. But I suppose it’s pretty easy to clamp a broken spring if that happens on the trail and drive out.

I do gain a ton of clearance. Crawlers have been doing this for decades so coming down in the leaves must not be of concern. The red lines is roughly where the hammer hangers were.

And while some lines on some pictures aren’t a prefect representation, I will gain departure angle too. When I measured in the past, the hammer hangers were the limiting factor.
