infield which includes pit passes. There are only certain sections of the garage they'll let you into though. We can't get behind where all the haulers are.

I still have Logano left in my picks. Guess I'll ride him this weekend. But if Bell or Chastain win it would be cool.

My brother went to renew our MIS tickets, but it wouldn't allow him to without also renewing the infield pass.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I do not like seeing an entire body of work thrown out the window when it allows someone who has run like dog shit most of the year to be crowned the best when they are not deserving of the trophy. I guess we will see how it works out. I am okay with anyone but the 22 winning really.
Bell has had speed all year. Ross has had controversy but has performed and the 9 has been solid. The 22 only showed up a handful of times and that’s what I have an issue with.

They're only crowned the best if they are consistently the best when it matters. Elliott, for example, has run mediocre for much of the latter part of the season save for a race here and there. His efforts got him a huge boost in the playoff, without which he wouldn't be in the championship 4, but now it's time to perform.

Remember, these "stick and ball" sports didn't always have a playoff either. But people wanted the "best" teams to actually prove they are the best. Hell, it won't be until 2026 that DI NCAA football has a proper playoff. It doesn't mean the system is perfect, but continuing to whine about it when it isn't new and isn't going away is one of the reasons this fan base is very toxic. No different than moving the numbers or going away from the gen 4 car.

We can and will agree to disagree as usual and that is fine. In my opinion motorsports has way to many variables with parts failures, falling victim to others actions and or manipulation and the variables in the tracks themselves to run the system we currently have. You can call it toxic but it has not been adopted by any other form of motorsport for that reason. This is not a stick and ball sport. There are a lot more variables in NASCAR than in what you are comparing it to. Like thousands more. Hence the reason most all other series look at a body of work. I understand you like the drama. That is fine, we are different types of fans. I have a lot of respect for someone who over the course of a season proves they have achieved opposed to someone who can achieve in short stints or gets lucky or even is on the positive side of someone's misfortune.

That's fine. And other sports have plenty of variables as well. Nevertheless, the "stick and ball" argument is weak. You can cite other forms of motorsports all you like but the fact is they aren't NASCAR. Back when open wheel guys were trying their hand at NASCAR, they all pointed out how different the sport was and cited things such as fan engagement and drivers actually talking to one another, even when not on the same team. While I have respect for the guy who can coast all the way and win a championship, I have a lot more for the guy who can consistently do it when it matters. Not settle in for 7th each week and talk about how "it was a good points day." Racing is about winning and fans were sick of what I just mentioned. So a system was put in place to emphasize winning. Period. So yes, we'll agree to disagree. I don't think the current system is perfect, but I'll take it any day over watching a guy not even seem to try in the latter half of the season.

You race to the rules, sometimes in the grey area, it's always been that way. If your not bending the rules, you ain't trying hard enuf. That's the saying I think.

The points allocation is a rule in as much as pit speed maximums....play the hand your dealt.

Jimmy J wouldn't have won 7 if he couldn't adapt...fvck that guy btw
