    TBH, i'm not entirely convinced that vled's is either entirely mapped out for the purpose, or quality for that matter. they make a pretty-looking product, i'll give them that, but historically, tend to put thermal considerations well behind aesthetics. but 200 lumens needs some pretty serious heat sinking, and that tiny little hunk of aluminum is good for about 15 minutes before it heats up to plastic-melting status...

    The LED is a bit too bright... I could have thrown a larger or additional resistor in-line (series) with the one you included to tone it down some, right?
