Hello beautiful community, I’m trying to lift 3” inches the front of my 2007 Tacoma 2wd 5 lug, do I need to buy new control arms and sway bars? If yes? I don’t want to spend that, and how much lift I can do to front without any modifications. Thanks

No you do not need to buy new control arms and sway bars for a 3" lift. Check out Old man emu lifts if you havent already....

OP, you might also check out Ironman 4x4. They're a lesser-known (but established) Australian company recently establishing themselves here in the states.

Here's their nitro kits which I assume would suit your needs:

    https://ironman4x4america.com/suspe...=pricedesc&Make=Toyota&Model=Tacoma&Year=2007

And their Foam Cell Pro kits which I assume you don't "need" given that you're 2wd and presumably won't be doing anything too crazy on the trails so maybe not worth the extra money to you depending on your budget.

Here's a long-standing thread from members here with the FCP kit (including me):

Your 5 lug is totally different than 6 lug trucks.

Visit the 5 lug forum here to see what others have actually accomplished.

If you are seeking ground clearance, taller tires is the only way to lift everything. I got 1" with not rubbing cutting or parts. Just tires.

It's not required but mildly suggested to upgrade the control arms with a 3" lift if you want the alignment to be within spec.

Agreed. The reason why I said it wasnt necessary is because its a 2wd vehicle which probably wont be seeing to tough of off roading. I always suggest to upgrade control arms with 4x4 and any lift over 3".

I think you should hop on the street trucks or the 5-lug forums. Otherwise, there's lot of people who'll give you information that applies to the 6-lug trucks and not necessarily yours.
