Installed a pair of Diode Dynamics Elite fogs. It takes longer than the video says when you are on your back on a garage floor. Kind of a war peeling back the fender liners.

 

Ewe...on what year? I replaced mine from up top. Lift the hood and reach down. Super simple.

 

This way is so much easier.

To be fair, the forward button is pointing forward and the back button is pointing back

 

Went to the shop to check on her..Should be ready by the end of this week.

Color match is pretty on point. I’ll have to look it over some more on a sunny day once I have it in my possession.

Finally finished up my under-hood LED install. I used:

For the lights/switch:

Pivot Mounts:

Tripod Clip Clamp Mounts

Miscellaneous splices, heat shrink, extra wire, corrugated split loom, etc.

Unbolted the pivot mounts from the tripod clamps and threw the clamps away. Bought some hardware to fasten the pivots to some unused hood holes and some hardware to fasten the KCs to the pivots.

Eventually may use a tilt or spring loaded switch for automatic turn-on with the hood, but I’ve never had great results with those lasting very long so I opted to keep it simple for now. Mostly will be nice for oil changes or other maintenance + things like wiring projects.

Just curious, why use a brand new truck for all that work? Wouldn’t it have been cheaper with an older/used truck?

granted thats a full baked potato from that start but it’s pretty sweet. Looks like it going to turn out sweeeet

 

Yeah, I’ve purchased new vehicles before and torn into it but nothing like @BajaHoncho. It is pretty sweet and curious to see how this turns out.
