Well, a 68 and a half year old man was able to keep up with you. So, you mustn't have been driving too extremely.

Oh crap  Sorry about that. I'll post in the craigslist thread. Must have been a miss click. Those are nice, but I've got a pax-specific mount on the roof where I prefer to keep gas from smelling up all the camping gear.

Rotopax suck for fuel. If you don’t want your gear smelling like gas just wait till you get fuel all over your hands putting the nozzle that’s stored inside the Pax on and dripping fuel everywhere. I had two for about a month I used them a couple times and had one fall off on a logging road and never found it. I hated it so much I gave it away because I didn’t feel right selling it to someone.

I think the form factor can be handy, but this is coming from someone who has never needed the fuel, and never planned on using it. Simply for emergency. If I was using them regularly, I could absolutely see them being a pain.

When I was young and broke I had an Impala with a broken fuel gauge that I ran out of gas many many many times, including such harrowing places as the Ballard bridge. In my great experience of trying many fuel cans, having a shitty one that covers you in fuel is the worst. Hence why I like the simple dirt bike can, it's never leaked

I find them very useful. I have 2 1 gallon pax I use with mix for my chainsaws and have never had a problem in several years. They mount super easy. But to each their own I guess?

I have the big like 4 gallon one, stores kinda nicely compaired to carrying a 4 gallon can. Keep it stored up against the front of my bed behind my toolbox for trips. Usually come nowhere near close to running out of gas but always carry it incase I slice/puncture my gas tank and have to fix it. Major pita to fill though, and the single 4 gallon takes probably 5 minutes to drain

I’ve been pretty happy with my Scepter military cans and the
high flow spout.High-Flow Spout for Scepter Military Fuel Cans - 1 Inch Diameter Hose - Fuels Diesel/ Gasoline and Power Equipment https://a.co/d/5vsZXdfI usually go up in the middle of nowhere and run around for a couple days hunting. It helps wasting trips coming back off the mountain to fuel up then waste fuel and time heading back up. Also don’t get gas all over my hands fueling up. Fuel in Concrete is $5.99 at the pump so it’s also kinda nice getting 10 gallons fuel in town at $4.10 and taking it with for a weekend adventure.
