Ok well that's reassuring to hear at least. I'll give McGeorge a call tomorrow to see what they have to say, but most likely just send it and slap it on there.

No, that other part is a sleeve of some sort that our gardener put on to fix the leak, but he only fixed one of them. There was a smaller one, pinhole sized that I figured I could try and Flex Seal over but apparently not. Gonna have to go get whatever he used

Interesting; got a text yesterday by Xfinity that our speeds went up with no change to pricing.

    Normally got 600mbps...

    Ahh ok.

I've only seen the other style sleeve where you cut a center section out and run a sleeve over the two ends to seal it all up.

Yeah I couldn't find what he used at Home Depot...unless that's what he actually did. I've only seen couplers which yeah, would have to cut the leaky section out. That might've been what he did there, I just assumed it was a sleeve but I couldn't find anything like that at the store.

With the potential for 'unregulated' water pressure, I'd personally sleeve it after cutting out that center section.

It does make me wonder where else it might be leaking underground and wasting water/making the utility bill higher than necessary. But, our utilities are in our rent and I let the landlord know about it so it's his call.
