This is the third time I’ve gotten a 24 in the last week. It’s either blind luck or We can’t shuffle very well. It was her crib but I made out. Any of you guys play cribbage or is that just a Maine thing?

Oh yeah, Im a cribbage fiend, but no one around plays. When my folks come, my dad and I play a few games.

Sadly, my dads parents have passed now, but we had some vigorous cribbage marathons going over the years .

Once youve experienced this luxury, going back to hauling it our yourself is so brutal.

Going on an elk hunt with a friend of mine in a few weeks and if we get something, its a whole nother ordeal to clean, quarter and haul out over miles and miles of relays.

There was a van parked at the edge of the road and the deer came from the side of it about 10 feet in front of me.

Didn't have time (10 feet at 40 mph) to brake, swerve or even :censored: and hit it broadside dead center. I was fortunate to have an XJ and not a car. With a car it would have ended up on the hood/windshield, the Cherokee was high enough and square enough it went forward and under.

BAM - CRACK as it broke the grill, rumble - rumble - BAM as it got fluid enough to go under the axle, BAM as it caught the transfer case, CRUNCH - ROAR as it ripped off the muffler, BAM as it hit the rear axle. :censored::censored:&:censored:

The lights stayed on and the temperature hand stayed normal so I bellowed on to work.

Coming home there was what looked like a very dirty blanket in the road - the deer,
a gruesome streak of gore leading to some twisted rusty metal - the muffler, a continuing gruesome streak of gore leading to some smashed plastic - the grill.

Save the version with drunken language for me. I'll drink way too many IPA's, or some of that peach 'shine I got and put the video on. I'll understand it completely

Our puppy had its obedience class tonight so my wife stayed to man the goblins.

By the time I got home an hour later, all 150 pieces of candy were gone.

Turned the lights off and 15 minutes later the doorbell rang. High schoolers (based on their t-shirts and lack of costumes) looking for candy. Go buy your own!

My dad liked to play but I never learned.

Whenever we'd get together, it was always Pinochle.

Little bit of this and that
You're generous, I keep what I want and the rest gets allotted 1 piece a day until Thanksgiving. After that it goes to work with dad.

We filled up a gallon zip lock bag with things like Pixie sticks, Nerds, etc and wrote "Bag of crap" on it. My wife took it to work and gave it to a co-worker.

We kept the good stuff. :D
