These are RC Crawlers and unfortunately I can no longer build them due to arthritis. If you do IG you can check here but they are not cheap.

Even if you build it yourself they are spendy. :hattip:

I plan on doing that for my DCLB. Cutting a truck in half and soldering/epoxying together a DCLB, with resin filling the gaps. Adding my tonneau cover will take care of the mess inside the bed. I'll definitely need to print decals for my bed vinyl.

The "fun" part will be explaining to my wife why I need an airbrush.

Sweet. I thought about trying to make it a long bed but would need a to also make the wheel base longer. Hard part for me will be the racks and cases.

    Great read!!!

Sweet project. I do not have the patience or dedication to do it, but I can 100% appreciate the journey and the final results. Well done!

I am extremely interested in doing something like this, and have an mgm 3rd gen as well. To save me some time, how much time/money does it require start to finish? Figured I'd ask directly instead of trying to scalp it from the thread. Tia!

It all depends on how accurate and in depth you want to go. Mine required making, or having someone make, custom parts. The body and chassis kits were close to $900 a few years ago. Not sure what they are now and with all my custom parts the Minime was over 2k. but worth it to me. The Minime took an entire winter but a lot of that time was waiting for parts from overseas.

Well worth it. Has to be one of, if not the, coolest thing I've ever seen. Knowing how accurate and meticulous you have to be to produce it makes it all the better. I was just looking into the RC fighter jets and prop driven bi-wings looking into building one, and stumbled onto this. Very well done sir.
