Does anyone have any photos of more aggressive tires on the stock TRD Sport wheels? Thinking about upgrading soon and wanted to gauge out how new tires look on the stock wheels. Thanks!

How are the Open Country RT in wet conditions? Do you feel safe driving on the road with them? Looks great!

Those are one of the options I was looking at! Those are really cool. How are they off road?

I didn't keep my Sport wheels long, maybe 3 month and they were gone.

Should've kept them, then you could've posted :D

RTs have been great, they only get squirrely if it is wet and cold out - I run Blizzaks for the winter and the last week of Oct can be interesting before I change over.. Otherwise I love them- they are heavy though, 56lbs ea for E loads.

Following. As I have all sorts of thoughts swirling around in my head right now about what to do about my 2022 TRD Sport wheels.

I have ruled out getting aftermarket wheels because most of the aftermarket wheels are made in china and there is no way I am putting chinese wheels on my truck (especially for $1K+).

So now I am in the same boat...wondering if some aggressive tires will help me to like the stock wheels better. And then I am also thinking about putting some spacers on my hubs and/or blacking out my wheels as well. Or just buying some of the TRD Pro wheels. Decisions, decisions.

2020+ Sport wheels are miles ahead of the 2016 to 2019s. Even better if Derp'ed or painted black.

When I got ATs on mine, I was surprised that they thankfully took some focus away from the wheels.

Daaang, this looks great. I was thinking about adding more black into the wheel as well via plasti-dipping the toyota emblem and getting black lugs. Is that what you did? Are these entirely new lug nuts or lug nut covers? This is starting to make me like my stock wheels more.

I have also been kicking around the idea of doing something with the vinyl wheel blackout stickers to make the wheel look more like either of these 2 options. Forgive the sloppy MS Paint editing.

    Thanks!
New gloss black powder coated lug nuts.

Pulled the center caps off, removed the Toyota emblems and coated with plasti-dip then reinstalled.

Also added black valve stem caps.

    Oh look, another mod....
This may interest you. A few members from this site have these on their sport wheels. They claim they've been on for 3+yrs and have held up through hot/cold climates and off roading abuse: https://www.etsy.com/listing/119604...allery-1-5&edd=1&sts=1&organic_search_click=1

I actually tried those! I was at it for hours and if you aren’t in the blazing hot sun, even with the wet application method, they’re near impossible to get on. I ended up just eating the cost as I couldn’t return them. :( They would stretch very easily as well. It’s a really good idea, though!
