It's the Tundra version of the LX570 J201. Doubt if any of those accessories will be availble from Toyota, at the dealer. And if they are it will be more expensive than buying the same parts from the vendor that makes them.

What ever the Trail Hunter package will be. The bumpers, racks, tent, resivor shocks, and lights will be accessories. Not part of the the trailhunter apperance package.

Some guy with an annoying accent said on his YouTube channel that the Tundra and Sequoia are essentially the new 300 series Land Cruiser. So it has to be true.

I’m guessing the suspension on those will have more differences than than between a current OR and Pro, for example. The steel bumpers, RTT, etc. all add weight, so it probably has different spring rates.

I’m kinda curious how Toyota got those bumpers through federal testing. You don’t see steel bumpers on a production vehicle very often.

Going to guess that the base TrailHunter will have the suspension/wheels/tires and bedrack. The bumpers, RTT, winch, aux lighting may be dealer add-ons?

Do you really want the dealership installing your mods?

There is a lot of lazy/incompetent truck owners who'd rather have the dealer install their accessories. This way they can roll them into their financed vehicle, not have to worry about trying to find an Off-Road shop to do the install, and its a one-time visit at the Toyota dealer.

If I had to guess, those trailhunter mods are done at regional distributors (ports) such as SET, GST etc.

I've got many of the port installed options such as roof bars, side steps, bed lights, protection package, spoilers on various Toyotas I own.
They have been well installed and workmanship has been great.

Part of it I believe is just the shear volume of specialized and repetitive work they do, they would have developed more capability and mastery over individual dealership technicians, who perform all sorts of repair work vs a port installer, whose only job is just slapping on predator steps all day long on all their trucks prior to sending them to dealers.

So to answer your question, I would have more faith in those trailhunter mods if they are installed at the port, but not individual dealership. That's why I haven't even considered the OEM Tacoma lift kit, which is dealer installed.

I disagree, I think the trail under package will include the bumpers tent racks and lights...otherwise they would just have come out with an accessory line that could be put on at the dealer...

It's a SEMA show truck. What year is it going to be available? Toyota has made no announcement that the truck will be made available for sale.

They have sent official emails and placed an official page on their website that the package will be available soon across multiple vehicle lines, so that might be a pretty big hint that this package at Sema is not just another Sema fantasy truck....but maybe their marketing team was just getting some practice spamming our emails with announcements and sign up sheets for info.
