Not sure how it is in your state but here in PA getting a title to put a salvage vehicle back on the street is a total PITA. Requires "enhanced safety inspection" and then gets issued a reconstructed title before you can get a tag for it. I can say that vehicles near me titled like that will go for about half of what the same vehicle with a clean title sell for and some insurance companies might give you some grief about getting a policy for it as well. If you plan on keeping it, not such a big deal but could be a hassle to sell or trade later.

Yeah. If "flooded" means the wheels were in some water, as opposed to the engine being under? I'd be inclined to go for it.

    1-2.5k more...

Thinking it would make a sweet gravel/dirt bike! Also, has enough power to keep up with traffic on smaller highways and would be a nice trainer if any family ever wanted to learn...

I would go for it but I would do a really good inspection and ask questions. Like they had it for years but on 2k miles? I don’t ride a lot so possible, but still ask. The bike is fairly simple so I would be sure it obviously is not hydro locked and the carbs aren’t gummed up. Usually the big issue is electronic, check the wire harness at the terminals for rust.

I'm guessing it's an older couple that literally just rode it in their neighborhood and it is fuel injected.

This is where I wish I knew more about electrical stuff but, yeah, I do know my rust!

Crash bars! If I can snag it for less than they are asking, I'll upgrade the suspension, get some protection, maybe a set of on/off road tires and see what's what!

Hoping it doesn't sell until I get my truck inspected and figure out why it's cutting out at random... and why I have oil or grease collecting on the underside of the passenger tie rod accordion thingy... :frusty: :D

when you say cutting out its just shutting off? or like missing?
and are you talking about the cv? thats the only accordion thingy in that area? if so its a cv boot is either torn or has come off and is throwing grease now
