cactuscorn, there's no way I'll be able to stop over today. My mother came to visit, so I'll be spending time with her most of the weekend. I also have a deadline I have to meet for the lab I work in on Wednesday, so I'm busy with that. Thanks for the invite, though! I'm usually always down to have a beer .

Also, Dave lives in Alamogordo and has his little girl this weekend, so he won't be able to. I'm sure the other Alex is packing like crazy or trying to figure out if he's moving or not tomorrow. So I doubt many will be able to go today

overstand buddy. next time. thats odus (lab/chow, about 10-ish) and layla (australian cattle dog, about 6). both rescues and both very much our kids. im sure youll get to meet them soon enough as they pretty much go everywhere with us.

there were a few camped by the fire last night and remained this am. its a collection of what looks like dunes and trails together on both sides of the hwy just shy of the santa teresa border crossing. take i-10 to artcraft/hwy 178/hwy 136/ pete v. domenici hwy (it changes names every 10' or so), head out about 7 miles. its at the base of a large mesa. cant miss it.

anyone got 3 good reasons why i should modify my truck. writing a 5 paragraph paper. 1 intro 3 reasons and 1 conclusion.

 

That place is called "The Wall." It's usually very busy on the weekends during spring/summer/fall and full of people offroading and just having a nice leisurely day out. I used to go all the time, but it's normally people with no regard for safetly, LOTS of drunks, and on occasion people looking to start some sort of trouble. The trails and the drive up the slanted-side of the mesa are fun 4x4 challenges, though.

Oh, and don't stick around past 9:00 pm at night, that's when it becomes a party spot and the shittiest of shitheads come. Possible fights, seen a knife pulled out, etc. I still party there sometimes, but only with groups of people I know. Also, if you see a bonfire with a bunch of cowboy/rancher types, those are the good bonfires. If you see a group with mexi-bros/cholos. Avoid.
