Yah, you’re right. That is an issue I haven’t quite resolved in my head. As they are they’re the perfect length to keep the plate in line with the front end, so I don’t really want to do anything that would shorten them. I like your idea of putting some kind of rubber or plastic bumpers on the brackets. I’ll experiment with that idea for awhile.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
Perhaps get a package of these and you can experiment.

That’sa pretty cool trick with the photoshop. I got it you’re right. I added the brackets to keep the wind from angling the plate downward. Another poster suggested using rubber bumpers on the brackets to prevent puncturing the valence. Short story, yes! It’s been on my mind.

Made my own brackets for a onx6 since no one makes them especially for a 10” bar.

If you can find a smaller pack of these, could be in the random section in the hardware aisle

Clearance cut the front bumper and moved the grille lights to the top slots of the bumper.. a Dremel made quick work to be able to fit them :D this pic is before the edge cover was put on the cut, but you get the idea

Part of the decision to go new was after we looked at a few good used ones and the prices were so close but did not have any engine or transmission warranty. We felt it made more sense from a sponsor / show perspective to go new and at the same time test the Nitro 5.29 gears, the TRD intake, the modified exhaust, and the throttle controller while waiting for the warranties to expire before adding the supercharger…

    That's a good idea. It's maddening there isn't a mount for these.

Yeah, KC has some sweet mounts for the cyclones but unfortunately they don’t work on hoods. The option I went with is sturdy enough and only costs like $15ish.

TRD catback installed. It's got a nice throaty grunt at idle and low rpm, but just driving to the mailbox and back sounds similar to stock. Going to put a few miles on it tomorrow to get a fair assessment. Also, picking up my TRD Pro shift knob from the dealer tomorrow. :drevil:
