Not true, just ask my wife.

No, but seriously; ask her. I tried my go at some DIY'd wood wedding rings, and wood apparently gets reallyyyyy brittle when you get it too thin :anonymous:

I used ALL the wrong things lol. I'm embarrassed to even say what my methods and material choice were, but lets just say its better left to those who things the "right" way haha. Its safe to assume that I had a super small piece of oak scrap that lived its last life seeing a hole saw, drill bits, and a duct taped drill bit/battery powered hand drill lathe, sandpaper, lots of super glue finish, and more sandpaper. I still have one ring that lived through the whole process, but my fingers now to fat to wear it lol. Lessons learned on the first broken ring attempt; don't put a fat sweaty finger into a dry wood ring to see if its sized correctly. Good thing it was super brittle, bc it came off in pieces via channel locks lol.

The floor! I usually clean as I go but I was pressed to finish this and let it go a little to far for me.

It was one of those "no honey-do/not hunting season/terrible fishing weather/no games on tv/nothing to do" type of weekends, so that was how I chose to waste my time, and 3 chunks of scraps lol.
