    Hey y'all,

Ive got an 06 trd off road 4x4 v6, and Im preparing to put a 3" lift on it. The set up Im planning on running is Toytec AAL's in the rear, Bilstein 5100's all the way around, and eibach coils in the front. The question is do I need the toytec 1/2 in top plate spacers because its a double cab. Also any input on the setup is welcome. This is my dd, and I go off road every once in a while and dont get entirely crazy with it and would love not to lose all of my MPG. Thanks again.:D

Im pretty sure you do in order to get the full 3" of lift

Matt's right, you do need the top plate spacer to get the full 3" of lift.

And if you are using eibach coils you might have the "Taco lean" after installation. So you might actually need two of those spacers for the drivers side.

Cool guys, thanks for the info. Which spacer will I use for the lean, the 1/2" or the 1/4"? Also, which will give the smoothest ride, the eibachs or staying with the stock? Ive done alot of searching but most of the stuff doesnt give me any kind of info on which is best, just the different options available. Thanks again

I have the stock coils, and I've never ridden in one with the eibachs, but from what I've heard the eibachs will give you a smoother ride.

How do you feel the stock coils ride KPT?

Stacking spacers is a bad idea. What Eibach springs are you going to use? Eibach springs come in many spring rates, so we need more info before someone can simply say "Yes, you need spacers".

How would stacking two 1/4" spacers be different than using one 1/2" spacer, assuming everything is torqued down correctly....

I thought the eibachs only came in 1.6" lift for second gens. So people set the billys at 0.85" and get 2.45" of lift. so he would need thin spacers to get up to 3".

They can shift. Always use only 1 spacer. Also, The Eibachs come in a 600#, and a 620# spring rates. FWIW, The top plate spacers come in a few thicknesses. 1/4", 10mm, 15mm and 20mm.

Which ones are the ones I always see people running on here, that provide 1.6" of lift? (without an aftermarket bumper, etc)

The 1.6" lift ones are the 620# springs......I "think". For a while they were useing 600# springs.

The coils that Im looking at are the 620's. Toytec says I need the 1/2 in spacers because it is a double cab. Ive read about the taco lean, does anyone make a 3/4 spacer for the drivers side?

Using a 5mm on the passenger side, and a 10mm on the driver side will account for the lean.

Will I still have the whole 3" of lift?

With the 5100's set at the .85" setting, and the top plates I mentiond, Yes. You should be close.
