You can also haul full sheets of plywood on a trailer attached to said truck...and use the trailer for other trailering things. And, look more "manly" doing it! Kidding...

I get it, the newer minivans look cool and all (the new KIA also comes to mind), but do you really want to haul shit like that in your family vehicle? I'll never begrudge anyone's vehicle choices since I have made some questionable ones myself over the years, to include a dreaded minivan. Made that mistake when I was over here before, and thought I needed more "space" to haul visiting family around. Spent the next 3 years dreaming of ways to drive it off a cliff into the ocean or have it "stolen". Looking back, I'm just happy I didn't go off the deep end and commit fraud or something, lol. Man I hated that car...

I would never do another minivan regardless of........

Is there anywhere in Virginia area that can do a cmc as clean as this?

 

Three shops in Winchester do them, lowest price is about $500. Trick Truck did mine (CMC only), ORI and Chaos Fab shop also do them.

 

What @Tiny's Taco said. Mine over here cost $480, so that seems to be standard for quality work.

I know I could have done it way cheaper myself (maybe), but I don't trust my cutting skills and that would have been my first attempt at welding.


Edit: to say that my price included the CMC, plastic trimming/reforming, pinch weld, and painting. Not sure if that is all inclusive at the Winchester locations.

Nuttin wrong with the mini van. If the 3 letter agencies use ‘em for stuff, they gotta be good.

That said, there were 2 in this household when the girls were growing up (Wifeys vehicles). Yeah I felt weird in it, but damn if you could pack a 30 foot Uhaul inside the thing (Wife would anyway and seemed like it). I’ve see a few done up nice, but still not for me. Kids are gone and Boss lady (Wife) is thinking about getting another. Says they are to damn nice and can be used for anything.
