Had to be an option for select sports too. My 13 sport came with the heaters installed. Same switches, same location as above. Cloth seats. Trucks Canadian if it makes a difference and came with the factory block heater as well.

I’m accumulating parts to do a big upgrade so today I drove 160 miles round trip to pick up some 17x8.5 pacer wheels from a guy who had them on his Tahoe. Luckily the bore is big enough to work on the Tacoma. Last week I picked up an icon aal in the box for $140 from a guy who bought it then shortly after traded in his taco for a wrangler, never installed. I’ve already ordered 5100s and next week I’ll be ordering OME 2887 coil springs. Then I’ll drag everything to work on a slow day, get these pacers wrapped in some KO2s with new TPMS sensors all around, get the 2887s put on the 5100s with our fancy wall mounted spring compressor, throw it on the alignment rack, and leave with a lifted truck.
Im probably about a month out from that so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’ve swapped my shocks and struts before so hopefully I won’t run into any issues.

Pulled the turbo off the other day bc I had an oil leak coming from the turbo oil drain flange. Ended up finding a cap on the wastegate missing so I took care of that as well while it was off. Also, I replaced the gasket for the drain flange and something I noted was the one made by Full-Race was a better fit. The boost lab gasket was slightly smaller on the main drain port.

Another recent repair was with the throttle body. The original one had 305k and it finally gave up the ghost. The symptoms I had were a p0505 idle air control malfunction code, and the truck wouldn’t idle down to around 650 like normal, it was staying at 800+ constantly. A junkyard replacement seems to have solved that issue, but i then had a p0138 again. Last time I had this issue it was running rich and the rear o2 sensor was unhappy bc of this. Basically the same thing was starting again after I swapped out throttle bodies. While at cruise on my way to work in the morning from 24-10 in/hg the AFRs were in the low 14s. I pulled some fuel from the tune and now the p0138 has been gone for a couple days and it’s back to around stoich at cruise in vacuum.

Finally got to replace the A/T extension housing. I was kind of concerned with the whole Temp Check Mode when refilling the trans but I had success on the first try.

About 2 quarts came out but since I know the trans has been leaking I pumped 3 full qts, after reaching temp and removing the overfill screw about 1/8 of a qt came out.

I also swapped the 5 mm allen bolt with a 14mm hex (it uses the same as the drain plug) no more allen bs.

I cannot stress this enough but please CHECK YOUR U JOINTS! An easy fix ended up being more expensive and took me a couple weeks waiting for parts and what not.

Dana Port is trouble. I had my first and last experience buying from them. I guess if it is to good to be true, it probably is. I ordered an AFE intake component. They had it on sale for $40 less than everyone else, so I ordered. Couple days later got an email that it shipped but there was no tracking info provided. Emailed them and got a response that the part would not be shipped until the end of November. I requested it canceled. Shortly after I got an email that it had shipped already and can't be canceled. I then called and spoke with someone who was an outright prick. He said it was canceled and would take 24 hours to reflect that. More than 24 hours has passed and no change in status. I tried calling again today and no answer. If I don't get a response I'll dispute the purchase with my bank.

Front fenders recently trimmed. No inner liners. I live in the PNW and it’s raining now. I noticed a few days ago that my carpet is wet on my drivers side floor. Anyone know what this could be??

I can't leave anything well enough alone
is that pinch weld just trimmed off? maybe I'm not seeing the picture correctly but if that weld has holes in it now that could allow water in. Also, water can now spray higher up, and maybe get in that way? or your door seal? I hammered my pinch weld flat, ground on things, cut a bit, then smeared some seam sealer all in that area to prevent any leaks, haven't had a problem yet personally, but I also live in the desert southwest.

I wouldn't wait. Lousy customer service is a good enough reason to not do business with them.

Put a few dryer sheets under the engine cover in the intake runner nooks and crannies and a few others here and there under the hood, and added one to the cabin-filter drawer too.

Put a light coating of clear silicone weather-strip grease on the same around the windows and doors to cure the squeaks and groans that arrive at this time of the yeah, and also helps with the wicked frozen ice storm coated doors we get around heah in wintah. Won't be long now.

I wouldn’t say fast, since it’s a heavy truck, but it has at least double what the stock 4 banger made, so it’s plenty spunky
