How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Your truck does have the recall. Here’s the website where you can check https://www.toyota.com/recall
For some reason it hasn’t been fixed. My truck went into QC hold the same day yours did. Toyota Corporate will tell you they don’t get involved that you need to call the dealer. If you push some you can get a manager from corporate and if you push a little harder a regional manager can get involved. That was my experience, I wouldn’t settle for anything but an answer. Someone has the answer.

Well thank you for that, I will give them a call right now to see what is going on.. my wife and I have been having to share her Camry, but now her car is having issues so it's getting pretty urgent. Thanks again, I will let you know how it goes.

 

So just got off the phone and corporate said they would contact the dealer to have them give me an update, but said she couldn't give me an ETA or anything. Really curious what inspection they are performing that takes ~half of a year to complete..

 

Hopefully that call gets the ball rolling. Corporate never gave me an ETA but once they called the dealer the truck showed up miraculously. They told me my truck went back to Mexico to have the welds inspected then sent back to the port
After contacting Corporate I only dealt with the GM of the dealer who dealt with high level Corporate and Port Employees. My feeling was those are the people who get things done

I really didn’t want the steps or the sport bar. The sport bar is mounted using the bed rails though and slides all the way to the end of the bed actually making it functional for me. I am starting to like the look of it too. Now I just have to find someone who wants to trade a roof rack for the predator steps.

I did. Originally paid a down payment at a dealer in Fort Worth but found an allocation in Dallas a few weeks later and paid another deposit. Picked it up in Dallas a month later. Still need to stop by the Fort Worth dealer to get my first deposit back.

 

Placed my order in early May and picked up my truck in late September. Arrived at the dealer 3 days after I was told it was built. I guess it pays living close to Baja. TRD OR Double Cab 4x4 with Premium and Advance Tech packages.

I had put down a deposit (refundable) on a 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium, but was going to buy a Tacoma if a TRD Off Road 6MT became available. Well, one did. One of the last of the 2022 models. I drove three hours to Craig Toyota in Madison, IN to purchase it. Excellent people to work with. They knocked $1500 off MSRP, gave me what I wanted for my trade, and had me in and out in around 1.5 hours. Highly recommend them. I guess I am back in the fold again.
