I'm not envious at all. I'm not ready for fall to be over, let alone to have it snow.

You'll likely get snow in your new neighborhood, but it won't be the stick-around for weeks or months kind they get in Montana. We usually get a couple of good 3-5 inch snowfalls and maybe an ice storm each winter, but none of it sticks around for long.

 

You can come up here and have all you want..

 

My wife would disagree, but I would love to My wife has family all over New England (Maine, New Hampshire, New York even), but they didn't want anything to do with super cold winters, or large amounts of snow. They also have family in Tennessee, George, and Florida, so they chose this area to be above the worst of the heat/humidity, and below the colder/snowier states, and still be relatively central to all the family.

 

Total respect for them.

How's the pain?

 

No no no.
This was a couple of years ago. In Jan or Feb

 

Out of a 1-10 scale .... 10 being the worst


My current pain level right now is a mid to high 6 to low 7

 

My in-laws actually just returned (last week) from their first trip up north since we all moved to KY, they went to visit a family friend near Erie, PA, then to visit the family in NY, ME, and were planning to visit Niagara Falls, but canceled that stop due to a predicted heavy storm for that area.

 

The snow mover attached to the garden tractor- is that PTO driven or does it have it's own engine? That mount of snow looks like it gives your machines a serious workout.

 

It’s belt driven.

The cement snow is an issue. Not enough weight to drive the wide blower through the “gray”. I use my backup walk behind (narrowest width) to drive through that type of snow.
If it’s not real heavy It does a good job. I put a winch on it because I bent the lifting arm like 3 times so this year I won’t have to stand up and lean on the arm to lift the cement loaded blower lol…

 

I have options lol
