    not enough.
yup. That's my vote. the average joe riding mellow-er trails, quality alu rim is just fine and probably best. My riding style going fast and racing through some really rough lines...not the best for me. Whcih is why I prefer carbon.

Aluminum is more forgiving too. When Al wheels fail, they can often be repaired, ridden out of the trails, etc.

When a CF wheel kicks the bucket, it's spectacular to watch. You're walking it out of the trail, and there is no repairing that thing. For me it's diminishing returns. They're cool, but for MTB and road, the cost just isn't worth it for bobbing around and being a joe schmo. BMX is Al (chrome for the brakes) regardless. :notsure:

Was just watching the Evil Following review by Pink Bike. Kind of interesting because as was mentioned before, they don't usually review Evil and I have to assume there is some backstory and animosity there. That said, I thought the review was fair. A couple things they talked about that stood out as matching my thoughts: the geo really lets the bike down climbing and descending where the front end wants to lift because you can't really get your weight up on the front well (high cockpit and slack actual seat angle) then the short wheelbase and steep HTA kind of limit the downhill capabilities. The bike is short enough that fore/aft weight distribution is really important and sometimes difficult to nail. They mention it too, but the rear suspension really does out perform the rest of the bike. It's too bad because the rear end is a nice pedaler and great on the downs, the overall package is just missing a more dialed geometry IMO. That said, you're still left with a pretty capable and very poppy/playful/fun all around trail bike. I think that's what they were going for when looking at some of the perhaps head scratching geo and sizing recommendations. They wanted it to be a small playful bike and that's what it is.

I have added a -1 adjustable headset to mine and so far it seems better at everything. I still maintain that a 130 Evil with the current Offering geo would be close to a perfect all around trail bike (and maybe the Offering is already that, but I haven't ridden it).

I just watched the 8600 feet movie on YouTube. Not sure how long it'll be available, but it was free for now.

It's not the most entertaining movie and it's too long overall. There's too much filler/backstory BS for what it is. With that said, I was entertained the whole time. Holy moly it was impressive to watch!

They even show a bit of how hard the stuff is in between the major features. If you've ridden TWE, you'll know, but just a crazy thing to see.

    Shuttles are for pansies :p

That's cool! It should be a great addition to your local riding community and just wait until you watch the little shredders progressing insanely fast it's unfair. Hopefully it gets more people on bikes. It's not on Trailforks yet, do you know the total elevation?

I did finally grab two jerseys. They’ve been having great deals recently. They had a 30% off everything code recently as well.

I’m blown away how nice it is, I think it’s about 200-225’ elevation from the bottom.

It’s not much, but they’re making the most of it. I’ll have to double check next time I go.

Nice. Baker Creek is about 350' - so a slightly smaller version of those trails?

Unless you're an XXL, you're SOL, at least for the ones that are on sale.

@honda50r, never even got a hit or offer on PB for that scratched and scuffed Spark 970. Sold on local group for $1800 in less than 24 hours. So made $200. I decided I’d rather just muscle out and pedal the enduro than have two MTB.

    Only rode the bike once.

Gotcha. You didn't list it locally initially anyways? Anytime I post something for sale it hits every platform at the same time to maximize exposure

I did not, obviously I should have.
The guy didn’t even negotiate with me. Maybe I should’ve listed higher, but I just wanted to move the bike at this point.

Also sold a like new Fox bike pad for $75 I paid $50 for a year ago. I used it once and decided it wasn’t for me.

Also, mine is in the mail, but if you ever wanted to bling out nows your chance to show off some Cashima. People think you’re on an $1100 plus fork, but little do they know.

Mine is in the mail. Ordered as a spare, one wrong fall and a new CSU or whatever they call the top part and this almost pays for itself if you damage a stanchion.
