What does Kerr do? Takes your best feature and beats you with it. That’s demoralizing. Memphis led the league team in rebounds but not that series. Dallas loves the 3 so while they’re out on the perimeter the dubs are in the paint collecting extra shots. Makes Loon look like a hero and even Steph gets more rebounds. Both eastern conference teams are more balanced so the finals should be more competitive.

Not the most dominating post season run of the 6 but they ended up with all the lunch boxes.

Makes for more average kids playing the game. Was never fond of watching big men back down. Post play still happens but it’s less central to the game. A small player like Curry can and does get to the rim because it’s no longer crowded in the paint. Defenses can’t collapse because the outside threat remains and so many players can reliably hit open 3’s. Celtics had players with better one on one defensive skills but the Warriors played better help defense. As the series went on whichever Celtic had the ball always got double teamed in or near the paint, usually from the blind side as he spun away from the first defender. Warriors used the Celtics size and lack of foot speed against them. That style is what allowed Curry and especially Poole to be at least effective defenders rather than the liabilities they were in the first 3 games. It allowed Poole to get more minutes and subsequently more scoring. Kerr isn’t lying when he says it’s always about defense, do that and you will get more chances to score. Length is still valuable but it has to be mobile.

    Wiggins had a great game

Curry was getting these great blocks from his teammates at the 3 point line, he'd step around the block and get some open space, 3 easy points..

And then there’s that pull up 3 from the finals logo, 3 defenders all flat footed, not one closed or even got a hand up.

Because his team is going nowhere. AD doesn’t want to play the 5 and can’t shoot a lick and RW is only effective as a one man show and won’t do it from the bench where he would be most effective. Lebron has never played on a team so bereft of shooters so there’s no one to kick it out to. He’ll get numbers but not wins.

Seeing the Warriors struggle on D I’m thinking they miss Mike Brown but also so many young players on the second team that have to learn how to play team defense and Kerr trying different groupings to see how they mesh. They could look average for a few months yet while those things shake out. They might need to cycle those youngsters through the first team to show them how it’s done at the highest level and vise versa cycle starters through the second team for leadership and on court direction. Winning now has to be balanced against building for a playoff run.

Steph is carrying the team right now on offense and the starters aren’t getting enough help from the bench at either end and keep having to make up deficits. Racking up too many minutes. Still early though but wins are too hard to come by if the bench doesn’t improve. Only Poole is putting up decent numbers and their defense is porous.

Looks like what they’re doing with mixing the starters and bench to get more use and results from the bench players.

It’s going to take awhile to turn talented young players into a deep team of veterans. That’s why they’re called veterans. I hope they stick with it though instead of opting for a trade to solve it.

It’s certainly started out as an up/down season but it looks like they’re making progress. It takes a lot of work to gain consistency and be able to close out games better than the other team. “Klay is back” is getting closer, he’s definitely on the court now.

Getting some silver lining out of Steph’s injury. I think it will still be difficult to take this on the road but more than anything the young players need meaningful minutes. The talent is to be expected from a Bob Myers team and Drey is showing his leadership but this needs to keep building until Curry and Wiggins return and take back their minutes. Too much Jekyl/Hyde but that’s the youth and lack of experience but playing makes veterans.

Impressive double OT win. Teamwork is improving on offense but still not fully connected on defense. Klay still on the rise(eff you doubters). I wanna see DiVincenzo be able to defend layups, he seems clueless whenever someone drives the rim but definitely has skills and court sense so maybe just needs coaching up there. The regular season is definitely not just making time, it’s the period when the best teams gel their changes in roster. Good teams get wins on talent alone but aren’t a TEAM when post season arrives. It’s those teams that are most inclusive that have the highest potential. One man shows can pile up wins but never go far. This youth heavy roster will in my opinion show that growth more dramatically than ever.

Dubs. Bummer but they shot crap and only lost by 1 possession. They only need to split though.

    Watching Cavs / Knicks.
Literally the worst NBA game I’ve ever seen in my life. Air balls on wide open 3’s. Combined 5 for 30 from 3. 10+ turnovers in 15 minutes for the Cavs. What is this garbage?
