Speaking of which, people are calling for a rule against what Chastsin did at Martinsville. I see where they're coming from in not wanting to see that become even "semi-normal" but I'm not sure a rule is the solution. Especially because I don't know how you word it that doesn't get implemented in a situation it wasn't meant for, down the road. I think a rule would be a knee-jerk reaction (which always go well) and I anticipate the risks would prevent it from becoming a common occurrence.

Not only did Ty Gibbs reduce his organization's odds of winning a championship by 50% Sunday, wreck two teammates out of the race, and one for the win with a blatant dump, then rub it in with a massive burnout, then taunt the fans, then compare himself to Jesus in a post-race press conference, he did it all while missing a lugnut. NASCAR threw the book at the team, fining the crew chief $5,000:
