    I explained how it happened, and they didn't ask where it happened. As far as I know, I am not breaking any laws...

    One thing to note, if it happened at work, even if you feel it was your fault, it can still be a work related claim. Not to say you cannot file your own claim, but it could potentially be your employer who is responsible to fix it.

    My friend's last car was a 2013 Nissan Altima, and back in like 2016-2017, a coworker hit his car in a parking lot. My friend was present and saw it happen, but the woman didn't realize she'd hit him and just drove off. The damage to my friend's car amounted to some scuffs on the fender, but my friend had just bought it and wanted it fixed. The coworker was notified and she apologized profusely. She gave my friend her insurance info, but because it happened while both of them were on the clock, they had to go through all sorts of bureaucratic bullshit and fill out paperwork. You'd think that there were injuries, but while the car needed to go to the body shop, the damage was incredibly minor.

    My insurance company didn't ask questions about the circumstances of the busted window, and I really do not want to go through bureaucratic bullshit when my insurance company is willing to replace the window in my driveway and cover all costs.

    I had a similar experience to my friend with his Altima, back in like 2017-2018, when I cut myself with a knife while juicing limes at the bar where I used to work. I cleaned myself up and bandaged it, but my mom thought I needed stitches and I begrudgingly called my doctor to make an appointment to get it looked at; I should have told the receptionist that I cut myself at home, but I made the mistake of mentioning that it happened at work. I have health insurance, but the doctor's office refused to even look at me unless it was done through workers comp. This wasn't a major back injury or anything, just a cut on my finger; I didn't want to go through workers comp. My boss at Puck had never had a workers comp claim before and neither of us wanted to deal with it; I firmly told my mom this and also said that I just wanted to let it heal. Guess what? It healed! Not only that, but it healed so well that I don't even remember which finger is was!

    Now, if a lamppost fell on my truck while it was parked on company property or another employee backed into my truck while driving a company vehicle, that would be an entirely different story.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    I did that exact thing on my Tundra once. I hit the bottom portion of the seal with firewood and instant spider-web glass. That was probably 10 years ago. $100 comprehensive insurance for the win.

    @Just_A_Guy

    I've been telling little white lies to make things easier for all parties, for pretty much my entire life, and in some cases with the blessing of my parents; I didn't get my driver's license until the age of 2022, in May 2011.

    In August 2010, my parents rented a condo in Cape May and brought me along. We rented waverunners during our stay there, and the rental agency's police was that you had to have a valid driver's license to rent from them. There's a slight chance they would have accepted my state ID card, but I wasn't about to chance it. My dad is ex-Navy, and as his dependent, I have a military-issued photo ID that I use for health insurance and stuff.

    I told the people at the jet ski place that I'd left my driver's license back at the condo, but asked if they would accept a military ID. They said they would, and I was able to drive a wave runner in Cape May Harbor!

    Smooth criminal. Better be careful disclosing all this juicy stuff. The FBI might come after you :devil:

    :rofl:

    I also went through this period where I was obsessed with HVAC equipment, especially vintage central air-conditioners. There was this late 1960s or early 1970s General Electric central air-conditioner at a church in Doylestown (still there and still running); I went by the church sometime in 2012 when we were in the middle of a heatwave, and made a video of it running for my YouTube channel. Unbeknownst to me, the church had cameras and a maintenance guy saw me on CCTV. He came out to ask what I was doing, but he wasn't an asshole and I explained exactly what I was doing. He asked if I had permission, and I lied and said I did. He believed me. I finished making a video of the A/C unit and left. That was over a decade ago, the video is still on YouTube, and I've never had a problem; I haven't actively done HVAC videos since probably 2016, and I don't go to that church, so the chances of me ever encountering those people again are slim to none.

    One of the most ironic situations I ever encountered while doing HVAC videos was in 2011-2012 when the manager of one property threatened to call the police and have me detained if I was caught doing it again, but unbeknownst to her the sergeant of the police department in that jurisdiction had let me film the air-conditioners at the police station. The best way to get through live is to just obey the law and be the best person you can be, but network and make friends with people cops and lawyers so you can get out of trouble on the rare occasion that you do screw up!

    I dont think its supposed to rain for a few days, so you should be GTG until the glass company comes.

    Rear brakes are good, and Pete thinks the noise that I thought was the brakes is actually the driveshaft...

    Pete thinks I'm probably good until at least 200K miles with regards to rear brakes; I am presently a little under 159K...
