The SX package is good value and makes truck look a lot better. I think it’s worth it for what you get.

Totally agree. It gives the base a much better look in my opinion, and with all the things that come standard on the SR now (adaptive cruise, carplay, intermittent wipers, auto dual zone climate, tow package, etc) it makes for a very tempting trim level.

I totally agree and that’s a sharp looking truck man. If I didn’t need the double cab I would of have went with the access cab and the SX package. Can’t beat it. I had seen one around here in magnetic grey but it had a 4K markup which was insane.

Mine. Originally a lease, thought that looks nice, maybe I'll end up buying it. Wow! Different times three years ago.IMG_20221103_172442.jpg

Yes. First year for the SR5. I almost got the magnetic gray metallic but I think the silver makes the black stand out more. Thanks for the compliment.

I just bought this 2023 SR5 w 4WD and the V6. I was not familiar w this package but I really love this truck. I paid $34k and it has 34k miles. I bought it April 1 because I was worried about these idiotic tariffs driving up the prices.

My buddy got one of these right after I got my Sr5 and I was a little jealous, they’re kinda cool! Is the package exclusive to access cabs? My buddies is an AC as well

It’s an upgrade to the SR V6 access cab only.

An article in Motorweek said that it was available in 2023 on the SR5 in either DC or AC and 2WD and 4WD. I'm not sure myself. I haven't seen another one and I looked at a helluva lot of 2023s and 2022s just trying to find my AC. I had no idea how rare that they had become compared to the Double Cabs, but I've been driving a 1999 Tacoma SR5 for five years, so what do I know about modern trucks?Tacoma 4.jpg

It was an upgrade to SR Access Cab's only. It was available for I4 and V6 models, and was moved up to SR5 for '23 and was available on DCSB and possibly DCLB for that year only.

That’s cool. I never saw a four-cylinder version though. Probably must’ve been super rare at least around here. Every one I saw in California was an access cab V6. I stand corrected.

Ive seen a lot of local businesses that use the SX trim so the I4 couldve been scooped as soon as it hit the lot. I was also looking for the I4 and bought mine the day it was listed online. 20250424_073743.jpg

I specifically wanted it because it was a known reliable engine and I didnt (and years later still dont) have any need of the V6.

    TRS-80, VIC-20 for me. But they weren’t $4k.

Sorry OP. We’re reminiscing in your thread.

I like the package. I saw them in the lots here in Texas when they came out and they are pretty slick looking.

The SX is a clean package no doubt. A lot less being and unnecessary stuff. Thanks as now I'm gonna call my truck Frosty! Or Wendy :jpow:

Great thread - I have seen a couple of SX and wondered what they were. Hummmm . . . . I have a black OR that on which I removed the bed graphics - I could put on the SX decal and confuse people who really know Tacos since it is already black and "blacked out" . . . . just kidding.
