It's funny here in So Cal when the weather starts to cool. If the temperature dips below 70 degrees everybody starts wearing their Uggs and winter clothes.
Meanwhile I see tourist that come here in the winter wearing shorts and flip flops when it's in the mid 50's.

 

I was in Silicon Valley for a week or so for a conference back in 2000. Was in late September, early October-ish. Coming from the upper midwest, my companion and I looked at the weather and packed shorts and t-shirts for non-conference activities. Shocked the hell out of us that the locals were in down vests, boots, some even had scarves and gloves. Uh...high 60s/low 70s? That's *comfortable*. People looked at us funny.
