What if its 800 for 3 years or 400 for 7? is it worth it then?

$1,000 for an auto loan isn't the exception. Personally I find my payment of $340 to be over the top. Come hell or high water I'd never pay more than $400 a month for a ride. I'm paying off my 2021 in the next 6 months or so. Done with that. I'll drive it till I mingle with the stars.

 

I work with a couple of 20 something year old guys who work full time then have a part time job just to make car payments and insurance. Insurance is another thing people don’t think about when buying a new car

 

they might lower your montly payments, but there will be many more months of those payments than if you hadn't traded in the truck...

 

i know some young guys like that. i don't know how they do it. they are going to get so burnt out eventually.

Job one is 4am-1pm then they go to job two after that.

I did that for 15yrs...paying child support until I was 40yrs old. And no car/truck pymt....I drove an old beat-up 73 Chevy C10.
My first new truck was a 03 Tundra when I turned 40, and now my 21 Tacoma....which I am paying off today!

 

They've built a business on this model.
