A little something every chance we get.
We're on the Southern tip of that elevated tornado risk. Don't like that one bit! I still haven't put my vehicle covers on for hail protection.... I might tomorrow!

Our Vizio TV got stuck on a picture requiring approval of their new terms and conditions. Interesting--they require approval, but the website they mention in the first block (there are 4) does not work. How many folks blindly approve these things without checking first?

yep, that’s why I don’t do that sh*t anymore. So, to be safe, be very careful when picking up those twigs you intend to split with that monster. :D

On another note, I recently moved from Arizona to Tennessee. In anticipation of the move I sold nearly all my shop tools. I miss the table saw, so I purchased another, cheaper one. The old one worked well with cabinet quality work, but the new one has required a lot of tuning. I had to shim the motor assembly to align the blade with the t-square slot. The indicator for the vertical angle needed tweaking. The fence needed tweaking-- it was about 1/16" closer to the blade at the rear than at the front. I still have to verify it with every setup. I am not impressed with the quality of Home Depot's product.

A few months ago I needed a table saw to complete a project, and after much searching for something decent on Facebook marketplace and other places without success I was walking through Home Depot and decided to look at whatever they had. I've been drooling over the portable Bosch for so long that they've gone from $300 and change to over $600, so admiring them for years. And some of the lesser brands are more expensive than that Bosch I should have bought years ago. They had a Ridgid portable that's very similar to the Bosch and it's been around $500, but this day they had one discounted to $300.

I bought it, have used it on my project, and love it. Bada bing, bada boom...

I'm sure you know I'm just pulling your leg! I just bought an electric pressure washer, so you can giggle at my toy too. I get a kick out of reading translated assembly instructions...
Example: "The lock button is to prevent from spray gun being engaged accidentally, like children."

Uh... OK, I'll take a dozen lock buttons, please.

I love my Stanley electric pressure washer. More than adequate for my deck, walkways, vehicles, etc. and one less gas engine to maintain. I find myself pulling it out for uses I never would have bothered starting my gas unit for.

I too drooled over some Bosch saws but couldn't justify the $ for my use. Been very happy with my Hitachi, though I do like my Bosch jig saw and orbital sander.

Today begins “The Great Furniture Swap”. Formal living room from our house in Odessa goes to our apartment in Ocala, furniture from the apartment goes about 200 yards to my sister-in-law’s apartment and sister-in-law’s furniture goes to her daughter’s house across town. After getting the couch, loveseat, ottomans and other stuff (we have to take the matching pillows and a there was a lot of “here, put his in the truck too”) loaded up last night I can honestly say I this was a bad idea. There’s a small area above my left eye which is the only spot on me that doesn’t hurt.

I have heard very favorable reviews on the dewalt portable table saw. But I can't speak for it personally as I have never owned a portable ts.
But I am a little spoiled, lol

    Praying for a good outcome.

I sometimes burn hardwood logs in the fire pit to obtain coals to shovel into my WSM so I can smoke a pork butt. I like the smoke flavor that is obtained with this type of fire. On the downside it takes 2 hours of burn time to get the coals.

I think I would have tried to remove the 3 to 5 bolts and remove the log splitter top. The plus is you still have the horizontal space. The downside is I can bet the assembly is heavy. Are you planning to raise the shelf up to regain the horizontal storge?

Good morning, welcome to the last shopping day of the week. Finally recovered from early voting. This will be my last election working at the polls. I will be 75 for the next Presidential election. Today is a BJ's shopping run. Medical visits were good yesterday. No cancer in the head and I lost 4.8 pounds last month.

Kind of different now that the 2-month backyard project is completed. I seem to have a lot more free time. LOL

Nice set up. I wish I had the space, but I value the aspect of parking both cars in the garage more. I do have a Dewalt Contractors portable saw and it works well for what I need it for. I set it up to blow the sawdust into the driveway for an easier clean up.

Good morning all. I was thinking this would be a day that I don't have much to do. I was planning to go hiking in the mountains but instead I came down with something nasty. I feel like the flu with sore legs and a cough. I guess I'll just sit in the house next to the fire and catch up on DVR recorded TV. The stupid thing is that I got my flu and COVID boosters last week. I'll shove a COVID test strip up my nose later today. I've been fortunate to not catch COVID yet.

Have a good start to the weekend. There are some important NCAAF games, NBA, and a World Series games to watch. I'll watch NFL but I really don't have an allegiance to a particular team.

Yeah, I had a wood shop like that but considering how much I used it I couldn't justify keeping it. I had a yard sale to sell the equipment and banked 9K, and felt pretty good not having the "stuff" afterward. Seems I've always been burdened by "stuff" I don't really need... but it accumulates...LOL
