Nice to see Forrest again and how they made him a younger image of himself. And those look like AT-AT parts to me.

 

Nice to see Melshi there. That character had a very small part in Rogue One.

In my head canon Kino will become Snoke lol.

 

Yeah I was happy to see Melshi too, builds some back story to things in rogue one and shows that those characters had an actual relationship forged from hard times together.

I perked up when he was mentioned. Definitely sweet to see connections there, and not connections that are either wasted or in your face.

 

Anyone else feel the vicarious claustrophobia?

 

Those cells SUUUUUUUCK. They’re doing a great job of conveying the dystopian hopelessness of it all.

 

and the only space you have to stand up in the cell is tiny...barely even able to stretch your arms.

 

I only managed to watch about 1/2 before I fell asleep last night. Not that the show was boring, I was just dead tired. Plan to rewatch this evening to catch up. Definitely took the empire’s control to a new level. Unless I’m mistaken, other than the brief “rescue” in Rogue One, there has not been much live-action focus on Empire long-term detainment.

Also wondering exactly what they’re building. I like the tie-fighter spindle theory.

 

There’s some speculation that those are mechanisms behind blast doors.

Apparently there is a large construction project that needs a shitload of blast doors.

 

Wonder what that could be?

Totally whiffed on the Melshi part It's been a minute since I saw Rouge One and with him being cleanly shaven didn't help

 

Another theory is that they are the leg (arm?) attachment assembly for the Imperial probe droids.

 

ohHHHh. that actually makes a ton more sense to me....

 

Watched the whole thing last night. I think the most intriguing thing is the difference in the perspective of the Rebellion at this point in time. They all want to be free of the Empire but have differing ideologies and methods.

Really enjoying this series!

 

Saw's little monologue was perfect in capturing that. GREAT performance and cameo.

 

Anyone else see the similarities? One is the Star Wars hotel at Disneyworld. The other is the prison on Arkina 5. Dystopia that!

 

Holy shit, that revelation at the end of the episode.

 

Seriously. GREAT character development and choices. I love this show.

No matter how many times I replayed it, I couldn’t understand:

Spoiler

1) What the guy said in line to get a punch in the gut by Kino; and
2) What exactly happened that 2 ‘units’ were killed in total and that nobody is getting out now?
