gonna sell my 2017 TRD OR white 45000miles. Parting it out now but can keep them on if interested. Not sure price was gonna trade in at dealership.

 

What do you have to part out?

 

sliders, smittybilt corn winch, cbi roof rack height bed rack, icon suspension, oem bed mat, weather tech floor mats

That's pretty low miles. You could start at just lower then MSRP and see what you get?

 

Seems like inventory is starting to collect on the various lots and sales have slowed down due to the interest rate hikes. Have a couple friends still in the car biz saying sales over the last 8 weeks have started to drop off significantly.

 

I agree, just saw 12+ tacomas sitting on the lot at the Toyota of Portland

 

Don’t forget the trade in tax credit you get when trading in a vehicle. You essentially get back the tax on the dollar amount of the vehicle being traded in, so you only pay tax on the difference between trade in and what you are buying. So a 37,000 trade in really equals about 40,700 if you were to sell it privately. Sometimes it isn’t worth the extra time and effort to sell privately, you be the judge.

 

Thanks! Kbb said up to 38k without mods but seems like a stretch with recent market. Now to part out or not to part out… basically suspension sliders and winch are big ticket items

 

If you are able to do the work yourself it’s 100% worth it to part out. If you have to pay someone else to do it, probably not worth it.

 

Oh jeez I thought I’d get that anyway… good to know. Only sold one car in my life and it was to dealer. Thanks for that! Wish the dealer would just tell me the trade in value now but we’re waiting on car to come in first

 

Do you also have the winch mount? I would possibly be interested in both.
