A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Waiting on afternoon radar for sure today. We're at the very edge of "you better pay attention!". Run some quick errands and back to the shelf.

More work on that little putz today - yes, I am raising my work bench. @95SLE , horizontal space is premium luxury I'm not giving up around here, and it's far easier to operate on it's legs. It does NOT want to be stored on its end, per the manual, or I will be cleaning hydraulic fluid up. New use forced me to clean up that space, so that's good. Then I will clear the clutter that's hanging on the wall to the side.

I had a similar electric power washer years back, @06Tacooo , but the tank in it eventually failed. I learned I needed "just a little" more power for the pool area and house, so I ended up with a gas Honda motor on some brand from Amazon. Had to replace the carb once so far, but it's been good for the money.

I have a Delta table saw, that replaced another Delta that failed after about 10 years use. Can't remember what failed, so, for the price, I got another one. Don't see them in the stores much anymore. It's the choice of skilled wood butchers! :anonymous:

My SIL came down with "something nasty" right after getting the flu shot too. Was your shot the "senior" shot? I think it's a higher dose, and that's what she got. The older I get, it seems, the harder it is to get over anything. A three day cold is now a week and a half.

We are going TV shopping today. Probably won't be buying anything yet as we are still learning about all the complicated yada, yada, that new tech involves.

One of the issues in replacing our perfectly working old TV is getting rid of it. The land fill won't take it, and neither will the garbage truck.

No senior shot yet. Still 2 years for that. I just took a covid test. The c line is quite faint but it’s there. The t line is dark. Damn

St Vincent DePaul didn’t want my old big screen, but while there, an immigrant was shopping for a TV, so win/win!

have you ever had a saw with the safety cutoff? The one that won’t even chop a hot dog(or finger)? Those damn things are a PITA and expensive to replace. I used to regularly cut acrylic mirrors, which of course would stop the blade, and of course, it always happens when you’re a hurry. I never knew anyone who lost a finger in a table saw, so I question the value of that particular safety device other than to ensure you stay alert.

PS - in the VA waiting room typing this. Thanks to all for your good wishes!

One of those portable Ridgid saws is what I bought. Hope yours works better.

Not sure what flu shot I got last week, I just asked for “a flu shot”, but I had no side effects. In fact I didn’t feel the injection and wasn’t sore the next day so I’m kinda wondering if the pharmacy tech really injected me. Still have to do another Covid booster and a shingles shot. I recall having shingles as a kid, maybe 7 or 8 years old and don’t want to go through that again. It sucked then so it would probably destroy me now.

It works great. The manual talks about aligning the blade if it needs to be adjusted. Pretty simple procedure. Overall the saw seems pretty high quality for the price.

The Delta lives under the beer fridge stand. It rolls out about twice a year, for about a dozen cuts, then goes back to sleep.

Did the instructions really say that?! My son gave me his electric power washer after he bought a gas powered one. I was surprised how powerful and how well the electric unit works.

Yes indeedy, and those lock buttons are selling like pancakes now, in the wake of recent court rulings!

This just in: Home from the VA, long story short, they're going to monitor my labs because this enzyme in my blood can mean cancer in maybe 20 years. WTF? 20 years from now I hope they do diagnose me with cancer! (I should live that long!)

Not surprising news. This one's called Rock&Rocker and looks almost identical to all the other similar offerings on Amazon. One guy, in his review of one brand, claims that they're all the same mechanically, just with slightly different outward appearances. That sounds right, as I've experienced the same findings in other purchases from that part of the world. I haven't used mine yet, but for the record, what fixes has it needed?
