Don’t think you can regear 2nd gen transfer case without a custom machined gear or something if I read it correctly. Nobody makes one. I may do a crawl box or put that money towards an LS and just start hammering down on shit

all jokes aside. Im creeping up on 300k miles and I know its fine but if anything ever happens to it I have a spare 5.3 that just needs a little TLC that will take the 4.0's place.

 

Didn't know that, I have never researched 2nd gens T-cases. Trail Gear makes a doubler for it or an atlas. A doubler makes things so much easier.

 

Been pretty good, I have been setting around researching mods

 

It’d be really helpful to have the extra control. Not sure what direction I want to go just yet.

 

Well I did do a little work this morning. I had to order custom output flanges for my Dana 300 transfer case I got them painted and put together the mounts I made for the Transfer case.

Did you make your own driveshafts? I’m planning on finding the slip yoke and flanges that fit from spicer and hopefully sleeving DOM to fit and tie them all together.

 

This area is the Sahara for design/drafting work. Unless you're fresh out of school with no experience.

 

Damn it man, Hate to hear that. Have you looked for other jobs that your skill set could cover or you could learn quick? Might sound crazy but I went to college for machining. worked in a few different type shops Production cnc, sheet metal and an aero space job shop both sheet metal and cnc and I ended up not enjoying any of it lol. I applied for a job as a Manufacturing engineer at a local agriculture manufacturer going on 5 years ago, wound up getting it. Now I run their Fab shop and maintenance department. It never hurts to try it.
