Finally cracking open the little bottle. Bought this a while back after seeing it on a shelf for the first time ever! And a decent price.
But for the SRP of the big bottle, give me JD SiB BP all day long. But this is very tasty!

You should see the massive electric heater my wife wants to buy for winter bourbon drinking on the screened in porch.

 

I can’t wait for it to cool down some for that. I love a good rye or high proof when it’s cool outside.

Happy hour by the firepit with the guys tonight. The women were off doing some "book club" thing. We, of course, know that's code for "wine club". In any case, the boyz were in good shape by themselves tonight.

 

Finally able to take some photos from the outcome of yesterday, which was a high point in my bourbon experience to date. Made a trip a couple hours down the coast to meet up with @MattJakobs who had been kind enough to drag six very nice bottles across the country, and interrupt his weekend fun to put them in my hands. Especially appreciative after the shelf prices we just saw from @Asphaltcowboychip

Used the opportunity to meet up for the usual bottle exchange with @jandrews for a beautiful C922 ECBP and also send off a bottle to another member.

Last night before hitting the BT, my wife and I enjoyed some quiet time on the back porch (unusually warm weather) with a sample, also from Matt, of Taylor small batch. Which we really enjoyed, beautiful stuff.

After previously trying and loving a sample of the Michter’s Barrel Strength Rye from @Georgeee28 I’m really excited to have a bottle in the house and will have to ration it wisely.

Wow!

Honor Flight in Milwaukee just had a fundraiser/auction on Weller. The event already ended.

 

My neighbors kid is getting married this weekend and we decided to have a little night before party pregame. A little Blue Label paired with some decent cigars. Great start to the weekend!

Bottle number 2….

This stuff is getting harder and harder to find my little honey hole liquor stores in my travels are having a tough time getting it.

 

I'm gonna be that guy: It's fine but it just doesn't do fireworks for me and most of the time I prefer other stuff.

I have 3 stacked up and they will probably last me 6 years.

 

You and I are both that guy, save for one store pick I came across that was far above average.
