It was a nice runner, 31,000 miles. Needed a lot of work on the floors and rockers. The fellow who bought it has the skills and equipment to fix it correctly so it went to a good home. :)

My second vehicle was a Scout, I loved that thing. One night I had 11 people and a 16 gallon keg in it. :anonymous::anonymous::anonymous:

They must have been small people - or were we just younger and more agile.

Years ago back in my (dumbass) homesteading days I got a garden tractor & cart stuck in the woods.
    .
    .
The logical way to get it out was use my full size pickup truck....
    .
    .
.... which I got stuck in the woods - on a side hill - one side over a bank... I come-a-longed that truck (and the garden tractor & cart) about 60 feet, took hours. :ballchain:

I would die out there if I tried something stupid like that now.

I mentioned to a couple of supervisor and they said should have done it
Tonight's first project is making a couple of dowel pins for a hole that was supposed to be drilled then ream to one inch. Day shift machinist turn it over to me, said he went up there and far as he could measure...one pin needed to be .006" oversize and one .003" oversize. He had the .006" one done and it didn't go. Brought it back and said make bottom. 003" and top .004"
So ol' toe chuck it up on the threaded portion and turned it as such...slightly egg shape from not turning true....he takes up yonder and says fits both holes perfectly...make another just like it...
Me thinks it was a one in a million egg shape taper dowel pin:facepalm:
I'm about to go back to shop and give it a try though
